Hello Bloggers,
I would like for you all to look into all this new information that has suddenly been appearing on a certain blog it seems that we could learn something from the “book the art of war”. You see bloggers sometimes people use there own cause to start a massive war to make it seem like it’s being done from the other side and make it seem legitimate. I will not say much more about this but please look into the sudden burst of information flooding the blog. There have been very good PR people working under allot of aliases to manipulate the situation and that is just what they want us to believe when they are the same ones at with us. It goes to show the level of security that O provided in keeping clients information safe. We need to ask how could this happen and why it’s all coming out light. If it just a cover up on O part?

You are required to send your contact number, address (they will send a BOA cheque by Fedex) a copy of your contract and a letter from a JP stating you are who you say you are. All this is to be scanned and e-mailed to admin@higginswarner.com. They then send an auto response with 12 days to wait for delivery of a cheque. You will be able to track the fedex package from the

Money-market fund returns first $26B to investors
Reserve Primary Fund ‘broke the buck’ in September amid a rush of redemption calls.
October 31, 2008: 7:30 AM ET
NEW YORK (AP) — A money-market mutual fund that “broke the buck” amid a rush of orders to pull out cash has begun returning an initial $26 billion to investors who had been unable to access their money for more than a month.
The first in an unspecified number of distributions from the Reserve Primary Fund began Thursday with checks being mailed to retail-direct shareholders, Reserve Management Co. said. Payments to all other shareholders will be made by wire on Friday.
Each investor is getting about half their current account balance, the company said. It said all investors are being treated the same, whether or not they tendered redemption orders, and that the payout is being done on a pro-rata basis.
“This distribution marks a significant step in the process of liquidating the Primary Fund and distributing money back to shareholders,” Reserve Management Co. President Bruce R. Bent said in a statement. “We are committed to making future distributions when more cash becomes available.”
The fund had total assets of about $51 billion as of Sept. 30. It held $64 billion in assets on Sept. 12, before a soured investment in Lehman Brothers debt triggered a rush of institutional investors pulling out cash.
On Sept. 16, the rapid sell-off of assets caused the value of fund assets to fall to 97 cents for each investor dollar put in — the first instance in 14 years of a money-market mutual fund “breaking the buck,” or having its per-share value fall below $1.
Reserve Management froze redemption orders. That led institutional investors to pull out cash from that fund and others, creating fears about the safety of the $3.4 trillion in assets held in money-market funds, and a new temporary government money fund guarantee program.
Reserve Management said it is “focused on liquidating the fund’s holdings at amortized cost as quickly as possible.”

Dehustle @963,
Our people are very funny. DS could agree to pay 75 cents on the dollar of the principal investment, as many have indicated they would be happy to accept, and it would still come back to bite him in the butt, with people still calling him a thief. This whole shortfall should never have happened in the first place, and we should be thankful it has been caught sooner rather than later. Like many others, I am facing severe financial hardship because of my inability to access my monthly gains. I look at it like this, if DS is able to return my May 31st 2008 balance over the next 6 months, I would be much better off than most other investors who are experiencing a free fall in other traditional investments.

Re UWIN, PEI and Paige it seems as if not even the membercare in St. Lucia can get any word from Mr. Williamson. I called the office and spoke to a rep who said they have not received any word as to when they can make payments, but they are hoping that they’ll get some word within the next 2-3 weeks from the principals. So I asked point blank if they are having a difficulty communicating with them and the rep said yes they have not been able to get through. The rep repeated the bail out funds story but that was it.

RedP @ 956,
Hope is a good thing. As believers we tend to expect the best because of what we have seen God do in the past. Of course we also know that God has his purpose in every success, and in every failure as well.
Anyway, this is what I understand from a source very close to DS.
DS has not been properly aligning trades with placements. Many members were receiving credit for trades in which their funds were not part of the pool being traded. I happen to have visited DS in May, at which time he told me was conducting an internal audit. Instead of trying to readjust the respective accounts, and possibly invite additional lawsuits, he has decided to trade the account to match the May 31st 2008 account balances, disburse the funds, and close the Club.

This clearly isn’t the full picture. This must be related only to the TCI fund. Remember that we don’t hear a peep about the other $XX Billions yet. So those numbers are just what the TCI authorities know bout.

Hello again to the board….and as usual, surprise to see the board not buzzing about yet again today’s Breakfast Club program this morning…..
….it seems copies of the email received from Daryl V were produced and authenticated by the Breakfast club….and so were copies of letters sent out to the PM and copies of info sent to ACP Green….so all documents were authenticated and stories verified…..and apparently Breakfast club did in fact contact DV by phone to get him to come onto the club this morning to tell his side of the story but was greated by a string of expletives….and they also mentioned that from the lack of mention of any of this story in the Gleaner or the Observer could also show the validity of the statement made by DS of having both of those papers “locked”….
…bottom line is this, the most disturbing fact from all of this is the confimation from Superintendant Knight of TCI stating that the largest trade DS ever made was a trade in the amount of $300,000.00 US and the largest profit made was roughly $50,000.00 US……considering that the pool of estimated funds were somewhere in the range of $500 billion…and that is being conservative…..something’s right with that picture…..
….my final conclusion from listening to the interview is this…, perhaps a lawsuit is the way to go in an attempt to get what little of the money is left to go around…I feel that if and when monies are dispersed, by sueing, that might get you higher up on the list of creditors…., so rather than waiting for all of the bigger fish to get paid…..perhaps all of us little fish can come together as a group and become the biggest fish of all….just a thought…
….why else would a personal friend of DS for some 30 odd years be suing if he thought he could just sit and wait.. I don’t know Sean but his story sure sounded authentic, and the fact that Mr. Abrahams from the breakfast club did mention that he was very goods friends with Sean’s parents does reflect some validity to the character of Mr. Belcher.. …..Sean Belcher has not only been in dialogue with DS but has visited him quite a few times already and the last time if I heard correctly was in July of this year….and the fact that Belcher’s dad also lives on the island gives a lot of credence to his story….
….looking forward to the boards comments…..

Morning gentle people. I never hear that discussion on breakfast club so Lots of Money thanks for that news. All I have to say is that I dont understand the lack of respect showing to members by DS and the lawyers. Is no secret that plenty members suffering especial those who join since last year and dont get back any money at all. Is pure rumour and nothing certain. that hard man and is not every body have money to get lawyer. How long these investigations going to drag out while lawyers eat out the money? If money around to pay lawyer then pay people something as a sign of good will.

K said
LotsofMoney, you know I always appreciate your updates.
I never listened of course but I really don’t know what to make of that.
Seems like I have to place it in the “hear say” category yet again until I can hear some official release good or bad from DS seemingly top-class legal team.
You know what I have a problem with. After seeing how all those attorneys (whom I thought would have had some bit of moral fiber) representing Carlos Hill took the last bit of money going to courts….Did they not know he was a sham or they just did not care?
DS gets his set of lawyers for all I know they could be in the same barrel as CArlos Hill attorney ..just milking it until no more cashflow.
So if TCI only has 5mil frozen..why is there a hold up in just paying out?
OK let’s say he wants to clear his name in TCI, I guess after that he plans to pay out?
Also, are they going on a witch hunt with these other jurisdictions? TCI investigated and found nothing based on what I am reading so what they are going to call up other countries to do the same in their land.

What….thought this board would be buzzing with that interview with Chris Walker and Sean Belcher this morning on the breakfast club!!!…..pardon the manners….greetings to the board….
….only got to come on just before 8:00am…not sure when the interview actually started but it ran the whole way till 9:00am…interesting allegations were made….and the host of the club had to make it sure that they were in no way able to verify what the callers were saying were verbatum….just a few quotes that struck me……..Sean mentioned that in a poolside chat with DS in June or July of this year the story of what is really happening wasn’t being let out to the public cause he had the Observer and the Gleaner “locked”…..and DS also went onto say that he couldn’t be touched in Jamaica cause “he had Bruce and Daryl in his backpocket”…..emails from Daryl sent to Chric Walker via his blackberry….(he is the one suing DS and has 2.5mil US invested)were also read aloud over the radio…when referring to information that Walker says he has on Daryl’s association with O, Daryl said “put up or shut up”….apparently Chris Walker after divulging information to the property authorities to start investigation of fraud on O….received this email from Daryl…just out of the blue….they apparently do not know each other, but somehow Daryl got his email address and sent of what Walker is calling an “intimidating email”…..
…but basically what I got from the interview is that Walker and Belcher is helping out both the Turks and the British government with the Olint investigations, and were not getting anywhere from the Jamaican side…..and were appreciative of the Breakfast club giving them a platform to air their concerns and findings so far…..Belcher also went onto say that based on his conversations with Knight (police commissioner in TCI) that only 5 mil US is frozen in TCI and half of that belongs to Olint TCI ( the new fund that DS had started)……but Belcher also hinted that there were trying to trace monies to 10 other jurisdictions where monies could be hiding…..
…well hopefully somebody else here will be able to fill in the blanks that I have left out…..sorry so sketchy…

A good day to all
Looking for investment options? Interesting point of view from the Wall Street Journal for US residents…..
Mortgages
In this market, prepaying your mortgage may not be a bad idea. Generally speaking, mortgage debt is cheap debt – especially after you factor in the tax break. But prepaying can still give you an after-tax return that’s a lot better than what most folks have earned in the stock market this year.
Here’s how to think about it: By adding an extra $50 per month on a $200,000, 30-year fixed-rate loan financed at 6%, you could whack nearly $28,300 in interest payments from the mortgage. How much of a return is that? For someone in the 28% federal tax bracket, prepaying a mortgage with a 6% interest rate provides a 4.4% after-tax rate of return. (The rate is lower than the mortgage rate because of the tax break on the mortgage interest.) If you think you could invest that same money in the market and earn more than 4.4% after taxes, then you’re probably better off investing.
Blessings,
Rabbit

I hear that alot of people on Wallstreet, like stock analysts, investment bankers, etc. are now without jobs. They will have to move to other cities to find work, and some may have to change careers. The downturn in the stock market has caused alot of people to sell their stock and put their money in cash investments like money market funds, or safer invesments like bonds.

We were outrage and so we call the energy company to get out of the contract. They said we have to pay a fine of $1700.00 + tax to get out. The price of gas at the time was $6-$8 and the locked in my gas at $11-$13 a month. The price of gas never reach that price of $11-$13. So I was scam . Beware people of all di white colla tief.

Hey guys, this was taken from http://halturnershow.blogspot.com/
ctober 19, 2008
CONFIRMED: U.S. GOV’T WILL COLLAPSE BEFORE SUMMER 2009; WILL REPUDIATE NATIONAL DEBT; ISSUE NEW CURRENCY AND DEVALUE “OLD DOLLARS” BY 90%
I have confirmed that the United States federal government will financially collapse “before summer 2009.”
Long time listeners to my radio show will recall that as early as September 5, 2007, over one year ago, I warned my audience on the air, that this was coming.
I announced during that same radio show that the US government was secretly minting new currency, THE AMERO and revealed a plot to intentionally bankrupt the United States to force integration with Canada and Mexico. Once merged, the US Canada and Mexico would be a new entity called the North American Union. (You may listen to an archive of that show, from over a year ago, by clicking HERE)
According to a Bulletin issued out of Cannes, France, the collapse will come “before summer 2009″ because the U.S. can no longer make payments on its national debt.
According to “Lettre Confidentielle de LEAP/E2020″ the US economy, now in deep recession, will collapse. The resulting lack of tax revenues will make it impossible for the federal government to pay even the interest on its ten trillion dollar national debt.
On October 16, 2008, the “Global-Europe Anticipation Bulletin” told its subscribers that the present U.S. Dollar will be demonetized and a new currency imposed. “Old dollars” will be devalued by ninety percent (90%)
When the collapse occurs, countries around the world will immediately stop accepting our money. That means imports will dry up very quickly — including food and oil imports.
Lets talk oil first
The United States uses 18 million barrels of oil each day. We produce 5 million barrels a day of our own oil and import 13 million barrels a day from around the world.
Right now, our strategic petroleum reserve has 701 million barrels of oil in storage. When the world stops accepting our currency and stops shipping oil to us, we will have to draw down on the strategic petroleum reserve by 13 million barrels per day. We will run out of oil in 59 days.
No oil means no gasoline for cars; no diesel fuel for trucks.
Everything in this nation, except electricity and natural gas, is transported by truck. No diesel fuel means no products being shipped. . . . . including food.
Now lets talk food
After our oil reserves run out in 59 days, trucks will have no fuel. No fuel means no food gets delivered anywhere.
Here in the New York City area, our supermarkets have about three days worth of food in stock. They must get deliveries almost every day to feed the population.
So . . . . . the oil reserves run out in 59 days, the supermarkets are empty 3 days later. What do you think is going to happen?
Complete Social Collapse and anarchy
The cities will disintegrate into complete chaos first. Roving bands of savages will break into homes looking to eat. If you cannot protect yourself, they will take your food.
Once the cities are emptied of food, the savages will come to the suburbs. Small local police departments will be instantly overwhelmed. Calling 911 will be useless.
If folks in the suburbs cannot protect themselves, the savages will take their food too.
Ultimately, people will start killing each other for food.
No Government money means no welfare checks, no food stamps.
When this collapse happens because the government is totally broke, the welfare checks will stop. Almost immediately thereafter, civil unrest will erupt and we know who will be doing that. . . . don’t we?
Now you know why Barak Obama is being pushed so hard for President. The powers-that-be know what’s coming and they want a black man in the White House with the hope he can control “his” people. It won’t work. They’ll just call him an Uncle Tom or an OREO cookie and then go on their merry way to rape, rob, pillage, burn and kill.
In fact, to prove I’m right about the Obama situation, check out what VP candidate Senator Joe Biden said this past weekend. Biden ‘guaranteed” that Barak Obama “will be tested by an international crisis within his first six months in power and he will need supporters to stand by him as he makes tough, and possibly unpopular, decisions.” Telling us all that we’re going to lose 90% of the value of our life savings sure will be unpopular.
I wonder if the Secret Service agents who lose their life savings too, will bother protecting Obama from assassination; or might they kill him themselves? After all, the Zapruder film proves the secret service agent driving John F. Kennedy in Dallas, turned around and shot him in the head. That’s why his wife, Jacqueline Kennedy, tried climbing out of the back of the limo after it happened! She saw who shot her husband. It happened once, it can happen again!
What to do right now
1) If you live in a city, make plans to get out when all hell breaks loose. Arrange a place to stay with relatives or friends far away from the city because the cities will be deadly.
2) Start storing food. Don’t wait. You have less than 6 months before the shit hits the fan. Buy canned foods because they stay fresh a long time. Buy SEVERAL 50 lb bags of rice, SEVERAL 50 lb bags of oatmeal and store them. Make sure you have lots of flour and yeast to bake your own bread. Have supplies of sugar, salt and the like. Buy powedered milk that can be mixed with water to create real milk. Refill your propane tank for your grill and maybe get some spare tanks. Do not store propane inside your house because it can explode.
3) This Christmas, forget buying presents; buy a gun or two and ammunition. Ideally you should have one handgun for each older teenager/adult in your home. You should also have at least one 12 gauge shotgun and one hunting rifle such as a .308 or 30-30. Teach everyone in your family how to use them. Make certain your children understand these are not toys and that in apartment buildings and condos, bullets can go through walls and kill innocent people. We don;t want that so make sure you teach your kids well. You’re going to need guns to fend off the savages that come to steal your food. You may also need a rifle to hunt for food yourself.
4) Buy a gravity-fed water filter so you have clean water for drinking and cooking.
5) Stock up on any prescription drugs you MUST have to live.
6) If you have never hunted for food and don’t know how to gut, clean and prepare freshly killed animals, LEARN. Get a couple books and LEARN.
7) Start talking to your neighbors about what’s coming. Since the police will be totally overwhelmed, form local neighborhood defense groups. If the bad guys come, call out the whole neighborhood and use all deliberate force to repel the invaders. Don’t be afraid to shoot and kill. The savages won’t be afraid to do it to you!
Folks, this is the absolute worst news I have ever delivered to my readers. I shudder at what’s coming. If we hope for the best but also plan for the worst, we might. . . . . just might. . . . get through this alive.
Please spread the word to prepare for this coming disaster. Europeans are already planning for it.
Final analysis
How we got to this point is simple: The United States federal government and in particular, the Congress, systematically and deliberately overspent our nation into oblivion. Our own government wrecked our nation.
In order that WE THE PEOPLE can bring justice to our elected officials, I am publishing the private home addresses of all members of the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate.
Under our Constitution, they hold the purse strings. They are the only branch of government that can tax, spend or incur debt. Sure, they blame Presidents – that’s politics. But the Constitution makes clear that congress and ONLY congress deals with money.
If you would like to know where your U.S. congressman and U.S. senators live so that you can “pay them a visit” after they devalue your life savings by 90%, I will provide their home address to you.
To get the home addresses of your congressman and senators, send an e-mail to:
wheretheylive@optonline.net and I will tell you how to get the info.

Expect financial hell to break loose on Tuesday; major bank failure
Tuesday, 21 October 2008 is going to be marked in history as a huge day in matters of U.S. finance. Tuesday is the day that Lehman Brothers “credit default swaps” (CDS) must be settled.
CDS were insurance-like guarantees provided by banks and hedge funds as a source of easy revenue for themselves. Offering the CDS meant that banks and hedge funds agreed to cover any default by a major investment house like Lehman Brothers. The banks and hedge funds charged “premiums” to provide this “protection” which they never believed would ever be needed to cover anyone. Then Lehman Brothers went bankrupt. OOOOPS.
Last week, it was determined that Lehman Brothers assets were only worth about 8 cents on the dollar, meaning the credit default was about 92 cents on the dollar. . . . . times about four hundred billion dollars!
Tuesday is the day that the CDS’ must be settled. Tuesday is the day that whoever agreed to cover a default by Lehman Brothers, must actually fork over the cash money.
Since the CDS markets are so intertwined and convoluted, it is not yet clear who has to pay how much. Tuesday will change all that because whoever is on the hook to pay, must pay on Tuesday.
Look for all hell to break loose in US markets because some very big bank(s) and very big investment house(s) WILL fail . . . . . . big.

Just found this on Wikipedia. It’s a list of commodities that are traded on the global exchanges, and it looks like gasoline is traded. Steel is also said to be traded. Trading…or should I say speculation…in steel is probably what caused the recent surge in it’s price. Plus, remember that not too long ago the price of corn and rice went way up? Corn and rice are also traded.

Hi Pat
What you said is so true, when oil prices move up the price of gas goes up quickly. I’m not sure why, but I think gas is traded as a commodity on one of the mercantile exchanges in the U.S. If that’s true, then it means that the trading of gas is going to have an effect on it’s price. Speculation on gas is maybe what pushes the price up so quickly. If traders see the price of oil go up, they know that the price of gas will eventually go up too, so they buy gas and hold it until the price moves and then they sell. Their buying helps to push the price of gas higher until it rises to where no more profit can be made.

Hey Pat, Fuel bill is one of my heaviest expense, for my two vehicles I am averaging 40K a month because I travel back and forth to country everyday. My small delivery truck is averaging almost another 40K. I am working on a link to get a prefab. hydrogen converter that piggybacks on the vehicles fuel system. It is supposed to cut fuel cots by up to 40 %. The kit is supposed to be an easy bolt on product. Will give a heads up on its performance, if and when I get one.
Stay warm!!

Merc I get all that brother. However, it kills me that whenever there is an upward jump in oil prices, as we saw in the past 6 months, the prices at the pump reflected it almost instantly. In my household we have been averaging about $550/month on just gas!!!…now my heating contract has us locked in at prices way above what prevails. These oil/gas etc its all a profit chasing game for them

Hi Patricia
On CNBC the analysts were saying that traders are expecting a global recession now. At first they expected a slowdown in the U.S. economy, but now it looks like emerging economies like China and India are starting to slow down too. Maybe they might not go into a recession, but their economic growth may become flat (0%) or may only grow a little bit (1-2%). With fears of a global recession looming, and the U.S. already in a recession it has caused the price of oil to drop even with OPEC cutting production.
However, since price is determined by supply and demand, if demand goes up over the winter time then the price of oil will follow. With regard to the price of gasoline, I’ve seen the price of gas fall here in Texas. It’s currently $2.88 a gallon for regular unleaded and has fallen by a significant amount over the past month. I’m no expert, but I think the fall in gas prices is slow compared to the fall in oil prices because oil has to be refined into gas. The refinement and then shipment of that gas across the country creates a time delay between the price of oil and gas.

I am by know means an economist but perhaps the reason fuel prices have not dropped at the pumps yet is because they have to sell off the stock that they bought at a higher price. Could be wrong though. Can anyone in the know give us your views??

Somebody help me out..OPEC has cut production and then oil prices fell(not the usual response)…(
there’s even talk it might fall down to $50/barrel or less…dont hold your breath, but hey!!!)…so now oil prices have fallen in an unprecedented manner, why aren’t we REALLY seeing it at the pumps?????….
Now there’s talk that there should be no hip hip hoorah because the fall is due to plummetting demand and is indicative of a deflation which isnt good for the economy…well whatever..
Oil prices above 60-70/barrel is definitely not good for any economy. Look at the escalation in the price of everything over the past 18mnths as oil prices rose. Any body checked out the fuel surcharges from just about every puss and dog and the effect that had on the price of goods and services.? And you know the next ripoff those of us in the cold may have to face is the heating bill this winter..I’m sure we wont see any appreciable diff as we’ll hear that the oil was bought at higher than $100/barrel prices.
More than ever I feel these oil companies and gasolene retailers are callously taking people for idiots.

CS, from Olint you will have to go to the Police in TCI and the Police in Jamaica.
For WW your best bet is a case against them in Florida where they have assets. Time runs a little short on them for they are watched every day in FL. And those Fl yardies don’t play.
for CP it depends on how much you have invested. Price Waterhouse has assets but they are just eating it out for themselves.
Hill was to meet a deadline on Friday….I don’t know if he met it….if not he has hell to pay in U.S.A about breaking parole provisions etc.
If you have over a million U.S. dollars there then get a good case. If not you can pool with freinds on a class action.
Filling out forms at the disbarred lawyer guys office won’t get u anywhere….his name…Kankadore? Or something like that.
None of these people really going to get a chance for the “pool” argument …cents on dollar rubbish…NO.
If for Olint you need to make up your mind quick…..he is not likely to keep his TCI Belonger status largely because it was fraudulently aquired….he may run to Panama…maybe but he will be in jail….and the money left is small…small..small and some big players in line there and cases dropping on him and the crew around the World by the minute.
I hope this helps. It’s the cronies of these scam artists who mainly read but if you are genuine I hope it helps.
P.S. I got my money from CP so I have a track record and I intend to keep that record.
Sorry some of the links and other stuff beats some of you…..not much I can do about that.
Plus if you are insecure then no matter my advise you will return back to your masters..e,g CH,DS,TS,NS…the minute they tell you everything is O.K.
That’s fine…just remember though it’s not a good example to teach your children.

So when the train of deceit has eaten out the brains of thousands of investors you understand why. There is an apathy and there is a reason why. The people are hurting and they do not want to face reality. THEY NEED HOPE.
But ask yourselves this. If a firm such as DUNN COX has filed a suit then do you think they do it to get back nothing?

I agree with you Sirach, I was very suspicious of those who would use Biblical quotes in their communigrams and I did take it as a bit of an affront, especially given the holier than thou attitude that seemed to emanate from it. But you know something? None are perfect, no not one. And also who knows the heart of man? The directors of these schemes may have had the best of intentions. They may have become wayward and unable to manage. We fall down and we get back up again through God’s grace. Thank Him that we have an Advocate in His Son.
For now I feel that we need to remain positive and have faith, and hope that the directors of these schemes will make good on their promise to pay back. If not fully, at least to an extent. Remember, their is virtually nothing that is insurmountable with Christ. Faith is key and prayer changes outcomes.
As per the name Sirach, I only know what I posted in Talk General. I will repost here for you.

Hey Sirach, how you doin? I hope all is well with you.
Well, concerning your blog name, what little I know is that “SIRACH” is the name of a book written by a scribe named Ben Sira in or around 200 BC. The book is also known as The Proverbs of Ben Sira. Thats about the extent of my knowledge of it. I am not sure if it is a compilation of some of the books of the prophets, I’d have to do some research.

i hear you Red P. But caution always. “Many will come in my name.” I think with the schemers in particular that Bible quote is very relevant. Many of them seem to be having trouble with the “Christian” teachings while at the same time holding on to their self-righteousness at any cost. The profit they took is not returned to the sufferers. So they seem to opt for the camel suit and try to go through the eye of the needle. that is of course the ones who have yet to feel legal action. Oh yes it’s all about self righteous preaching of their own glory..then when the gates of the prison start to creek then they even approach the banks for loans to pay back the money the stole. Seems the prison door disapates their faith fast….but it is good for some it is the first that they have ever demonstrated “actionable” christianity. Good for them. We all need a dose of that.

Hi Sirach, how you doing?
I think that what Mr Perry is saying is that yes, be aware of your circumstances and
surroundings but to try not to dwell and envelope yourself in negativity as it has an adverse
effect on ones spirit and outlook.
I tend to agree with him, believe God and His precepts, principles and promises. Dare to
believe that you can be all that you can be in Him. Dare to believe that God can bring you out
of whatever mess you are caught up in. Trust God. Think positively, be thankful, give. He is
right, you cant outgive God. Sow into other peoples lives. No matter how bad one may have it,
someone has it worse. Mr. Perry had some very pertinent things to say.
My two cents for what it’s worth.

Just thought i would share something positive for those who are feeling down in these times.
As many may know Tyler Perry Just opened his studio The first Black man to go this route. It brought tears to my eyes also.
Taken from Tylers Email Message
I’ve been reading a lot of messages on the message board about how the opening of the studio affected you. Some of them brought tears to my eyes, and what has stayed on my mind is that so many of us have stopped dreaming. Listen to me, having no vision is death to your spirit. Why stop dreaming, because one of them didn’t come true when you thought it should? Why stop now? You’ve come so far. Listen to me, when I started building this studio I wasn’t thinking about being the first black person to do it. I wasn’t thinking about how many acres it is. I wasn’t thinking about what it would feel like to own it. I was just following a dream. I am no different from you. If you can make your mind line up with your spirit man, and your dreams, then your dreams will become your reality. It has to. It has no choice.
Now hear me here for a moment, if you will. I know that a lot of different kinds of people from a lot of different backgrounds and faiths read this email, but I want to share something with you, if you’ll indulge me for a second. One of my favorite stories in the bible is of Joseph. Joseph had a dream and his brothers wanted to kill him for dreaming. Sometimes when you dream you will go through all kinds of hell to see it come to pass. I used to tell people that I thought I could do plays and movies, and when I would tell them they would get mad at me, talk about me and eventually try to discourage me.
When I started to do plays in the beginning things started to fall apart and these same people would laugh and say things like see, “I knew you couldn’t do it.” Where am I going with all of this you ask? Well right now in these times in our country there are lots of you who are wondering how you’re going to pay the mortgage or the rent, or feed your families. And there are lots of you who have lost your houses and jobs and the very same people that brought over the house warming gifts are laughing at you now. I have been there. I UNDERSTAND THE HURT, but I’m here to tell you don’t let it get you down. You know what you say to them? “SSSOOOOO!!!” I admire and respect people so much that have a dream and go for it. Don’t ever lose that GO FOR IT attitude because you will see your dreams come true as long as you don’t operate in fear. After you’ve done all to stand, stand some more.
So what happens when you had this big dream and it seems to be falling apart? You seem to be losing it…what do you do? I look to this story of Joseph, and you really should read this bible story. It’s fascinating. It is so parallel to what is going on right now in this country. But this is what happened. When his dream seemed to be falling apart he did something awesome. The bible says Joseph dreamed another dream, and that is what I wanted to talk to you about today. Dream another dream. If one thing fails, try something else. Learn from your mistakes and try it again. So what if it got hard for a season, it will only be that way for a season. I cannot even begin to tell you all the times I failed, but every failure in your life will bring your dream closer to you. I know that sounds crazy but it’s so true. It’s okay to fail, now get up and keep dreaming. Don’t stop dreaming because you may have lost something. When I was doing plays for the first time, my dream was that 1,200 people would come and sell the place out. Only 30 people came. It crushed me. But I didn’t stop. I kept dreaming. I believed and dreamed all the way down to living in my car. But I kept dreaming, and when I was at my lowest I would talk to God. Sometimes all I could get out of my mouth was “Jesus help me,” but that was a prayer I prayed a lot. And you know what else I did? I got out and encouraged myself. When I was homeless and sleeping in my car I would hustle up enough gas money and drive down to the nicest neighborhood in Atlanta where there were beautiful homes and I would dream and say “one day.” On Sundays, I would go to open houses. I would go to the dealerships and test drive whatever kind of car I thought I wanted. Now I know these are material things but you would be surprised as to what it would do to help you see that all things in your dreams are possible. It’s hard to see a dream come to pass, but if you believe, it has no choice.
Everywhere you look you see all of this talk about the economy and gloom and doom. Turn that mess off. Stop letting that get into your spirit. Tune it out, watch things that will encourage you. Listen to things that will uplift you.
Now this part is to a certain group of people, not to everyone. This is for the people who have been feeling like they are being led by God to do something in these economic times that most people will think is crazy. The ones who may not have a dime but are feeling like something great is about to break free in their lives. You are so right if this is what you’re feeling. I have a suggestion if you’ll take my humble advice — HAVE NO FEAR! ONLY BELIEVE! Give thanks for where you are. I know that may be hard to do, but there is a liberty in being thankful. And lastly, give, give, give. The reason I’ve fed thousands of families, paid rent and taxes for the elderly, dug wells in Africa and helped establish churches and built homes for poor families is because I know the power of giving. You reap what you sow. If you want favor from God, sow it into someone else.
God bless you and know that this too shall pass, and you will be so much better when it does.

We know that a British takeover is imminent now, particularly since elected ministers who are supposed to be lawmakers and not lawbreakers and who are supposed to be the example of upholding the law and promoting transparency has now decided to openly lead the charge of resisting the law and rejecting transparency. It is so unfortunate that the government itself is presenting the largest obstacles to the timely and unobstructed progression of the commission of enquiry.

The PNP are now trying their best to spin the work of the Commission of Enquiry into political theater and attack its decision to extend its terms of reference without telling them or the Government. Well there are some of us who believe that the PNP is such a criminal organization that it should not and not ought have been notified by the Governor or the Commission of the extension of the time for the Commission.
There are some things that the people of the Turks and Caicos Islands are upset about that we want the Commission to look into because the PNP Government would not account to the House of Assembly and the people of the Turks and Caicos Islands. These things are
1. Why would the Government work hard with a private developer to breach the planning laws and develop star island which will destroy the environment of the TCI and the Government has shown no respect to the people by not telling the people about this development and its impact on the environment.
2. Why is it that the Government is building a 60 bed hospital at a cost of $235 Million Dollars and the people of the TCI are not being told of this? In fact the $235 million mortgage was revealed by the Opposition.
3. Why is it that the PNP Government have not told the people of the TCI that it has given Salt Cay over to criminal elements and dangerous people from Russia without having the people checked out?
4. Why have they not told the people of the TCI about the Millions they have in their banks, far more than enough money to rebuild the TCI.
The attack on the commission is nasty and petty while the PNP keep much more of the people’s business from the people. The PNP make the allegation that the commission will undermine the progress of the islands. It will be remembered forever that it is the PNP that is destroying the progress of the islands and the future of the islands. What kind of future will we have when Ministers are millionaires with 100s of million in their personal bank accounts and there are no monies for schools scholarships and health care. Indeed when the hospital is built we will see a massive transfer of wealth from the people to the Hospital and to the bank accounts of ministers further depriving the people of these with monies for a long-term. For this reason alone and to get ministers to give up the monies they have stolen and will steal from the people, the commission will help the long-term future of these islands. The Commission will send the message to investors that if you are a crooked one-please donʼt come here. But if you are honest, clean and will do business properly then you are welcome. It will build investor confidence because investors will realize that crooked and corrupt Governments will not be able to stay in office indefinitely. Oh yes the Commission will help us clean up this PNP Government and prevent future corrupt Governments from even coming to office. To ease the public purse, let the PNP return the monies they have stolen and cut the Premierʼs $18,000 per day waste of our funds on himself, having fun, hosting wild parties and having a good time at the peopleʼs expense.
While all of this is happening press freedoms are undermined. We have a strike on West Caicos and the Government cannot do anything. How about the Government telling the people the truth for the first time then it could attack the Commission which is enjoying the support of the people to clean up the corruption of the Government

The TCI Journal has received information from three different sources that Ministers of the current PNP government have had their personal bank accounts frozen last week, and are now allowed to access only minimum funds for basic living expenses.
This should give courage and confidence to those who have been hoping, but have been worried, looking for some sign that the Commission of Inquiry would lead to significant steps in setting straight the nation’s course.
The role of various attorneys in facilitating the corruption of these last five years is also being discussed by many in the Country. The difference between an attorney representing and advising a client, and an attorney being a co-conspirator, cannot be lost on the Commission as it looks at how much of the corruption was transacted.
If an attorney was hired by the government to conduct business on behalf of the TCI, then that attorney must have acted in the best interests of the Country and not in the interests of the PNP government or any of its members or friends. Also, if an attorney was aware that his client was engaging in bribery of a public official, then that attorney too is accountable for his actions.
The Bar Association of the Turks and Caicos has been particularly silent these last few years. We hope that eventually they will show some signs of life by speaking out publicly against corruption and their intention to discipline any members found to have behaved unethically. Even a tiny, tiny bit of generic “eye-wash” would be appreciated. Even if for no other reason than to try and attempt to appear to say the right things.
Surely the Bar Association has a role in speaking publicly on behalf of lawfulness within our society ? Let us hope that the Bar Association will try and recover a little bit of honour for itself before the Commission of Inquiry submits its report.
As far as any attorney behaving illegally; we hope the Commission of Inquiry will place special attention on the role that attorneys, regular ones and Generals, have played in advising and assisting this current government as it has robbed the Country into poverty.
Respectfully,

Granting of Belongerships and Permanent Resident Certificates
Becoming a Belonger of the Turks and Caicos Islands is of great importance to individuals on TCI since it is the only status which confers rights usually associated with citizenship, such as the right to vote. Those with a Permanent Resident Certificate do not have these rights, although they are also free from immigration restrictions.
Under TCI law there are three main ways in which Belonger status can be acquired: by birth (or lawful adoption); after five years of marriage to a Belonger; or by “having made a significant social or economic contribution to the development of the Islands ”. Applications via the latter two routes are approved by Cabinet (see “Role of Governor” below for further discussion of this). A notice of intention to grant a Certificate of Belonger Status must then appear in a local paper for two consecutive issues before the status is granted.
During our inquiry we received allegations that Belongerships and Permanent Residence Certificates (PRCs) were being granted to individuals outside TCI’s law. The Leader of the Opposition told us that he had heard allegations of people paying bribes to ministers to receive such status. He drew our attention to the case of an individual, Paul Keeble, who had sworn an affidavit that bribes had been paid to government ministers in return for his work permit being denied and that he had then paid an even greater bribe in an attempt to overturn this. Concerns were also raised that government members’ spouses were receiving Belongerships after less than five years of marriage.
It was also suggested to us that Belonger status was being granted to questionable individuals via the “significant social or economic contribution” route so that ministers could benefit from business relationships with these people. Witnesses argued that this should be of great concern to the UK government since British Overseas Territories Citizenship can be acquired almost automatically twelve months after an individual has being granted Belonger (or PRC) status.
The Leader of the Opposition also expressed concern that the Immigration Change Office responsible for advising Cabinet on the granting of Belongerships and PRCs was the nephew of the Premier and the Secretary General of the governing party.
Ms Barrington highlighted the fact that, after over five years of failed applications and delays, she and her husband had finally been offered permanent residence status, on payment of fee, four days before the 2007 general election on TCI.

Dehustle @818,
I would not treat the principal “bail out” plan as a settlement, because the intent, as far as I understand, is for the members to also receive the remainder of their account at some point in the near future. In that regard, everyone would be treated equally as far as their respective account balances.
Dehustle said

Maybe the principal argument better than nothing but lets not pretend that its some fair and just strategy developed by the operators in the members interest it mainly serves to protect the club operators interest.
In fact this principal theory is quite flawed, How does define principal at this stage simply as the money the person put in less all their encashments?? As leaving Bab once said a perception of property has been created as people made decisions based on the club operators stated performance of the fund
Scenario1
Someone (moderate risk taker ) invests 20 K of their savings and decides to take their 2k gains monthly after 10mths they have withdrawn their 20K but guess what that individual was of the opinion that they were withdrawing thier gains and typically would not have developed certain withdrawal and consumption patterns had they not had that false sense of security with gains that were being posted.
At this point in time the operators are basically telling those folks that they have nyamed our their savings something they would not have normally done had those same funds been in Jmmb etc
Scenario 2
Someone decides to borrow 40K to invest (yes it’s a risk but one they made based on the purported performance of the fund ) they take their 4k mthly gains make mthly loan payment of 2k save or nam out the balance , after one year they have withdrawn 48K but based on the way loans are calculated. they still have a loan balance of 35K are stuck with a mthly payment of 2k and based on the clubs definition they have exhausted their principal so there is nothing for them to get either!
Scenario 3
The piglets like all Floridian are at gravest risk as the funds are pooled together and if between the pig and other piglets all withdraw more than what was put in (even if Floridian don’t draw nothing him get lef ) as that pig have nothing more to get
All of the above example never really benefitted from ANY gains whatsover how does the “principal” repayment level the playing field for those who benefitted from gains tremendously making back thier original inputs several times over.
Sure they get nothing back now but so what ???
You see my point
chilly said
The idea of returning principal to the many hurting club members makes a lot of sense on many fronts:
[1] DS will have a steady port folio from which to rebuild the account over the coming months.
[2] The principal withdrawal does not hurt the account, seeing that the member’s account is frozen as of May 31st.
[3] Many hurting members will have access to their net principal deposit during these hard times.
[4] Only the accumulated interest will be at risk over the next couple of months.
The problem however, is seeing that DS has never acknowledged an actual loss on the account (overpayments cannot be considered to be losses, as the shortfalls belong solely to DS), some might consider it unjust enrichment and mismanagement of funds for DS to continue trading their funds during a period in which their account remain frozen. I think there is a lot more that needs to be explained about what DS intends to accomplish in the coming months.

Just a note on the “principal” thing….
you have a hundred dollars in and 50 dollars belongs to someone in your account. That person asks you for the 50 dollars. The “club” has problems but tell you everything is fine and in a few days encashments will be up. you pay the person in your account 50 dollars.
What is your new principal?
So the “club” opens again and someone in your account says, “mty balcance with you is $1000 dollars please transfer to my new account. What is that persons principal the minute the money is transfered?
Yes you got it……do you see now?

DeHustle, You have a point. All these clubs are talking about return of “PRINCIPAL”. Is it a contageous conspiracy, or are they all joined at the hip with the same glue? What is Principal? Answer.com shows it as:
1. The amount borrowed or the amount still owed on a loan, separate from interest.
2. The original amount invested, separate from earnings. It definitely is not a formula of PRINCIPAL (less) EARNINGS PAID. You are correct when you say its not fair. Its never fair! Its more the “plan in place” right now. When I collected my earnings, the statement did not say “PRINCIPAL PAYMENT”. It was my understanding it was my earnings, not my principal. And since we can create our own definitions (we can now re-name it: Net Principal = Principal less earnings paid). The real issue for everyone is when to expect the “so-called” Principal. Conveniently, the person that manage the club is able to collect and spend their pincipal and earnings while we the “members” help fund their spending habits. I feel like I just loaned my money for FREE. I have not had the opportunity to receive any of my “PRINCIPAL” since the plan was put in place. And, based on my calculations, I would “guestimate” (new word) to not see it any time soon. Especially if the so called Principal is anywhere like PipUnit’s $60K investment analogy. I think it would have been better for these forex clubs to allow the broker to release to them incremental payment amounts to pay down “the principal” until its paid off if the broker does not allow for “all of the principal to be withdrawn” at any one time due to trading floor limitations. Then the members would be happier, hoping for the earning to come at a later date. The WW “net Principal payment plan” is working very slowly in my opinion and in favor of the small investor. Its working for the man with $300 to $1000 invested while the person with more risks and liabilities of $10K to $100K++ invested is forced to wait to see their NET PRINCIPAL.

Your principal is your actual cash you deposited into these clubs. For example i deposited 60,000 and over 1 year it’s now 150k. I note again that a lot of these clubs are taking about principal and a lot of members are passively accepting that talk with a shrug “I guess it betta than notting “
What exactly is my principal if I deposited 100 and you told me I made $10 isn’t my new principal 110?
If you deposited over the period say 50K and withdrew varying sums say 3-4k monthly ( what you thought were your monthly gains say up to a total of 45k) the schemers as I understand are only going to pay you back 5K
Now to some that may seem fair as they also may have deposited 50K and never withdrew a cent and would now look to get back at least thier 50K
What about those early birds who also put in 50 K and have withdrawn over 150K ???
Ok under the schemers plan they get back 0$ but does that really level the playing field?
I am just not comfortable with this principal talk, cents on the dollar even though I personally may lose more it just seems more transparent but what do I know I’m just stupid money

Not sure is any one knew of this: What Bank in Panama are they speaking of?
Sorry for those who fell for this scam, but but us what it is.
Had Grenadian ‘investors’ done a little due diligence they would have quickly found out that Olint was in deep doo-doo in Jamaica.
It all dates back to early 2006, when the authorities sought a cease & decease order against this ‘investment’ company and its founder. Long story made short here – Olint then sought to move to the Tucks & Caicos away from the gaze of the JA authorities and those awakening investors who wanted their money back!
Low and behold while all of these maneuverings and machinations were were taking place, a group of ‘well intended’ folks set up an (Olint affiliated)operations in Spice with the obvious intent of parting Spicers from their money! What else could their reasoning be when they had to have known about the growing unrest on JA investors in this Ponzi scheme?
Oh, Ponzi schemes were outlawed in the US decades ago, for their basic intent was to separate ‘investors’ from their money by using late comers to the scheme to pay earlier ‘investors.’ Much like the Nigerian quick money schemes, if you are not greedy, chances of getting ripped-off is slim to none, but … as they say, ‘you pays you money, you takes you chances.’ And those who paid into SGL took their chances, and now.. (am sorry).
Back to where I left off – apparently, a bank in Panama recently received same US$200 million in the name of the founder of Olint and did what most legit banks do, and notified the authorities in JA, TCI, USA and elsewhere where Olint and sister companies operated
or were intending to do so.
Unfortunate it is for local investors and the general public in general, the Grenada authorities up to July 8th 2008, in their great and candid ‘SUPER’ wisdom, did nothing to alert our hard working locals of the the pending doom with SGL/OLINT- TCI.
It is also very strange, if not baffling or more accurately, mind boggling that in his sphere of utmost wisdomry that SUPER Legal, being son of Jamaica in good standing; did nothing to alert his employers (The Grenada Public) of the sorry state of affairs with Olint in his homeland, where people were clamoring for return of their investment money in Olint.
Was the Super Legal Wizard not head of Grenada’s financial authority governing body? Please correct Spiceguy if I you think I have presented you with a tall.
Noteworthy it is, that your Super Legal Wizard choose to remain quiet on this important matter, which was plastered all over Jamaica’s leading papers – Gleaner, Observer, etc., for months and years.
What a Nice Fella to have had in your employ for those many years.

Comment – I totally understand your decision to reduce your investment in Rove to the minimum. I decreased my investment and might consider decreasing it further. I seriously think we need to take the advice that several here have offered, i.e. learn to trade for ourselves by going through training, testing skills and strategies through months of dummy trading, and then sticking with these tried and true strategies in live trading. I think the FX traders among us have fared better than these Managed FX accounts.

Who going to lend them funds with this credit crisis? They also say that once they get money back from Olint they will pay the gains. Please continue to pray Christian Brothers nad sisters. Here is the email
Dear Mr. A
Thanks for your email. I am sorry that you haven’t received your funds. Presently we are trying to secure funds from a brokerage house in an effort to pay out the principal to all our members. We estimate that should take place sometime after mid November. In addition to this gains will be paid as soon as David Smith receives access to his account and has declared his profits from the outcome of his audit.
If you require further clarification please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Think I will just leave the initial $1000 there and pull the rest.

Because THEY HAVE the people money. People are not waiting for it to get gambled away people they just can’t get to it because the schemers have it. Infact the reality of it is that IT IS THE SCHEMERS MONEY. Sounds harsh and F@%ked up but thats the reality.
Nobody not going jail. Not in Jamaica and not in TCI.*
How any of the schemers going to go to jail? What they going to do, send themselves to jail? Is their friend going to send them to jail? Nope.
*They only way any of these peps going to jail is if the US or UK do it. Right now those two dealing with their of s#^t storm so forget that.

Hi guys!!
Its been a while, Madre whats up? Well, like some of you, I have been managing to hang on by the Grace of God and consider myself blessed amidst the circumstances and thankful. Guys, mi know it well rough, I know alot of you are fed up. All me too, but watch here.
What keeps me going and in a positive frame of mind is that sorrow may only last for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. What am I thankful for? Especially with twenty years of blood sweat and tears tied up? I am thankful that I have the ability to see that no matter my circumstance, there are others who are much worse off, making me very much thankful for what I do have. Not just in a material sense, but thankful for the ability to walk, hear, see, read, talk etc. The things we normally take for granted.
What the devil has intended for bad, God has turned around for good, by making me take stock of thing I never used to before. There’s a homeless person who paints and sleeps at the corner of Olivier and Constant Spring rds. I help whenever I see him. When I take a stock of it, I say there go I if not for the Grace of God. That could be me out there, lying on a piece of cardboard every night.
This whole debacle has led to the start of the Prayer Bus. It has been an absolute blessing. More importantly though, it has opened my eyes to a great need out there, there are people suffering spiritually, financially, medically, emotionally and otherwise. I thank God for the opportunity to share with other wonderful people who are a part of the P/Bus, and have formed rock solid friendships, meeting compassionate people who care for the needs of others.
So all in all, if the fund was never frozen, I would have never experienced this richness that my money would have kept me blind to. Is it worth it? Yes, undoubtedly.
Do I want my money back? Yes
Do I think I will get it back? Yes
Do I know when? No, but hopefully soon.
Will I join a class action lawsuit? Sorry guys, I cant afford it.
Hang tight Guys!!
Love and Peace

FYI : The following explanation of what went wrong with BTRFX was provided by an investor that had access to the trader. He is attempting to setup a recovery trading fund for the persons that lost $.
So how did it go wrong?
Forex trading is complicated but I will try to simplify as best I can.
Let’s assume you have deposited $100,000 with BTR.
Forex trading works by utilizing margins i.e.: on a $5,000 trade the actual trade value is $500,000, a leverage of 100 to 1. The $5,000 is the capital from your account and the margin/leverage is supported by the capital reserves that are not traded.
If the trade is in a negative position or losing money then it is your capital that enables the trade to carry the losses until the trade turns around into profit; the deal is then closed and the profit is booked.
Because of the size of the trades that BTR was trading they had to use 4 or 5 counter parties (other Forex Banks) to do the trade.
One of these was one of the largest foreign exchanges in the world; and in the open trades they were carrying a large part of the trade.
The recent trades which were all based on the Dollar weakening – opened in August and declined over the period on a gentle down ward slide.
The trader did not buy into the positions until there had been substantial drops of at least 750 pips (a pip is the smallest measure of currency movement), which is a massive movement for a major currency.
The trade was a ‘buy’ position as the traders systems projected that the Euro/Pound would increase in value again raise a few pips and the profit would be booked.
The Euro/Pound however continued to slide in an unprecedented fall (the largest movement of a major currency in the history of FOREX TRADING)
At the point where the losses on the trading platform reached 25-30% the Trader placed the hedge trade, (a hedge trade is the opposite of the first trade).
In this case the hedge trade was a sell trade on the Euro/Pound. So, when the Euro/Pound continued to slide the first buy trade lost more money but at the same time the sell trade made profit; so the loss on the platform did not increase.
So the trader did protect us against a loss of more than 30%.
But
The supporting trades were at the earlier mention counter parties. The buy trades (losing trades) were with two of the counter parties.
The Sell trades (protective hedge and making a profit) were with another counter party.
Because these trades were all with different banks the gains in one did not counter the losses in the other.
These trades, with each of the banks are at a leverage of 100-1 and the loss trades are supported by money on deposit in each of the counter parties.
When the losses continue and exceed the security provided by the money on deposit you get a margin call. (Which means: Put in more cash to support the trade or we will close it.)
“The perfect storm…”
Before the Labor Day holiday weekend, the trades were hedged, but the Euro / Pound continued to fall.
On the platform we looked stable at our loss, but behind the scenes the counter parties that were holding the original buy trades were getting near margin.
As the Labor Day Monday holiday came, the rest of the world’s markets came to life and started trading, and the Euro declined even further being dragged down by unexpected comments by Alistair Darling the chancellor in the U.K.
One of the counter parties holding the original buy trade reached margin and closed out automatically, protecting us from further losses.
The second counter party trades differently, when it get near margin it would normally make a margin call, however this happened on Labor day so it couldn’t ask, it also couldn’t close the trade because uniquely our trader didn’t have electronic access to intervene on this counter party trade.
So the loss on this counter party grew bigger, considerably bigger, by the time the USA opened for business on Tuesday, the European and Asian banks had been trading for 2 days.
The Euro had crashed even further, creating a massive debt on the still open counter party account.
Those of you involved in the live trade will have noticed that one of the profitable hedge trades was closed before the platform was shut down.
This was done to raise some money to meet the margin call from the still open bad trade. However it wasn’t enough to keep the trade going and the Euro still kept falling. So the trade closed as it ran out of margin.
The only cash that was available for dispersal were the funds from the one remaining hedge trade that was in profit.
What about persons who had accounts that weren’t being traded?
It is bad enough for the investors who have accounts that were traded to have lost money. But there are a few groups who did not have live trades involved in this situation, and they may well wonder how come they have lost too.
I will try to explain.
I refer back to the counter parties I mentioned earlier.
In order to trade with the counter parties, (so that BTR has enough instantly available trade placing capacity), BTR deposits funds at these counter parties. This is the margin I referred to earlier. This margin placed with the other counter parties is part of the total client funds, so each and every trade uses the same margin, of course most of the time the volumes traded never reach anywhere near the margin call.

Greetings breddren. My apologies it has been so long since a post. A lot of ugliness has hit the forex world and I have to agree with Merc V on the link above – what has happened to all of these promising forex managed accounts? I’m glad to see Rove is still alive since I was the one pointing them out however long ago, but a good friend of mine was lambasted in Capital Blu and I recommended a pastor friend to BTR, which held rave reviews and then BAM 90+% gone.
OK now onto Olint… How many of you have been contacted by the FSC or the Financial Crimes Unit? At this point, I don’t see any money returning within any reasonable time frame. For those of you that have made routine encashments (such as myself) apparently we have even less to be optimistic about. Naturally, no one will tell you anything and the only news articles ever published are more of the same, “Investigation still on-going, blah, ba-blah, it will take a long time involving many jurisdictions, blah, ba-blah, etc.”
Sadly, I believe that we are not receiving information from David’s attorneys because there is no news in the courts and the law firm is stuck in a losing position politely spending our money on their alleged top notch legal service. The other problem is that we club members only have one path of recourse, which would be both expensive and a long-shot and that is to file a legal action against the FSC of Turks Caicos, which are suppose to be providing oversight for all registered financial institutions in TCI. Also the TCI-FSC required Olint to take out an insurance policy before granting their registration – what was that policy for, whom does it cover, and at what values??? Oh, did I say long shot – I mean worse, but perhaps this insurance policy has some provision for victims of fraud.
Most of you already have my e-mail and I’m on RedP’s prayer chain. Tell me your thoughts guys, because the wait and see attitude is going to get us no where. I want to know why no one seems to be placing any blame on the FSC? Well I guess we can all be glad that the politicians got their money back and the insiders stuck it to the newbies before they jumped ship, and so then there’s us loyal “friends of David” gullible enough to be left out in the cold.
If you are contacted by the Financial Crimes Unit ask them:
How much money has been identified so far?
What is the likelihood that this is a Ponzi?
What are the details of Olint’s insurance policy?
Are they preparing to press criminal charges?
November 11th will change matters and combining jurisdictions should help move matters forward. Unless someone comes forward and proves that there is substantial money tied up, Olint is/was a Ponzi and we were not supporting a persecuted martyr, but a total con-artist. It may help us in pressing TCI-FSC in a jurisdiction other than TCI (if such a move would even be granted).
I wish I had better news, but my conversation with the Financial Crimes Unit was not encouraging.

Hi everyone, got really busy over the last two weeks.
Maria, I agree, we could’ve been cushioned so much, I think they have realised their mistake, but their egos are bigger than their brains. Closure of businesses can’t be good for anyone – even the richest man in Jamaica. Why must we “cut off our nose to spite our face”. What a horrible face it has turned out to be, this noseless face that is causing so much suffering and has helped to spike the crime rate.
Maria, I hear that your 400 million will be returned in about January next year, so keep the faith. I am still being hopeful.
Peace.

Good night blog family. I was browsing around on Forex Peace Army. For you guys that don’t know about it…it’s a website that has reviews of forex brokers, managed accounts, signal providers, etc. Well, I checked up on the reviews of Capital Blu Management and found this:
Current CBM FX Fund Client, USA
Rating: No Rating
Date of Post: 2008-10-02
Review: The NFA took an emergency regulatory action against Capital Blu on Sept 16, freezing all their brokerage accounts. It appears that client funds were either lost or transferred out prior to this action, leaving basically no money in the frozen accounts. Capital Blu is now under investigation by the CFTC as well. When I called Capital Blu a week or two ago, they referred me to their attorney, who of course did not return my call. Now phone calls are answered by voice mail and you’re asked to leave a message. Thus far, I have had no success in recovering any funds. If any funds are recovered, any movement back to clients would now be under jurisdiction of the federal agencies conducting the investigation. The amazing thing is they are still sending out their ProFX Alerts, so they evidently aren’t totally shut down.

Hi Rabbit, I’m not saying you should close your Rove Capital account. I think you should stay with them as long as they’re doing well. However, most managed forex accounts close after 1 or 2 years. This is because at the beginning they do really well, but after a while they start to make large losses, and eventually they close the account (having made a moderate loss) or the account gets completely wiped out (having made a huge loss).
So you should check the return of Rove Capital each month, and have a maximum amount that you are prepared to lose. If I had money in Rove Capital I would be willing to lose no more than 25% of my money. So if they are trading and they start to make losses, if the total loss equals 25% of the money I have with them then I would close my account. Many people don’t want to do this because they feel…and hope…that the forex traders will be able to turn things around and recover the loss. You shouldn’t do this because from what I’ve seen this usually doesn’t happen. So have a maximum percentage of the invested amount that you are willing to lose. It can be 25%, 30%, or 35% but no more than that in my opinion.

People in JA must learn to talk, walk and fight with their wallet.
If people feel strongly enough about a company’s management/culture/service then they must act.Be conscious and discriminating consumers.

Investigators probing financial irregularity by investment company Olint Corporation, run by David Smith, said they could not give a
Definitive time as to when their investigation would complete, since their were overseas countries involved from which data needed to be collected.
Head of the investigations Mark Knighten from the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force Financial Crimes Unit told The SUN that investigations were still on-going, and while he wanted to give a time as to when their probe would complete, the current investigations climate would not allow it.
In addition to tedious task of obtaining the relevant information from the various jurisdictions, Knighten said there were a number of documents that investigators would need to peruse, a process he said which would force their investigations to proceed at snails pace.
In view of the fact that there are various jurisdictions involved, the amount of documents to examine, we are still in a process, and we can progress really until we have got the full picture. Of course, when we have got the full picture, then we would decide on the further course of action, Knighten said.
When asked as to give a timetable as to when investigations might complete, Mr. Knighten said: he could not put a timetable on it. My experience in complicated and complex inquiry shows that things are not on the table to predict. You have the problem, of course where you rely on foreign jurisdictions for information as well, so I cannot really give a timetable, Knighten said.
Millions in local assets owned by Smith were ordered frozen by the court, following a raid on his home and companies by Financial Crimes investigators on July 14. Since the seizure of Smiths assets, a number of investments companies and agents across the Caribbean and Latin America, which local media in those countries claimed were part of Olint, had become insolvent, creating an atmosphere of panic.
Investigators in Jamaica a Smiths native country had taken a special interest in the investigation locally, since it was reported in that country’s media that persons had invested billions of dollars before its main operations was shifted to the Turks and Caicos Islands. Since news broke that Smiths assets were seized, media houses from that country had been tripping over each other get a true picture as to what was happening. Local investigators were contacted on several occasions to explain where they were with the probe. Some of those media houses even dispatched reporters to the Turks and Caicos Islands to dig even deeper into the true nature of the matter.
Knighten had said in a previous interview with this newspaper that since nothing has been proven against Smith, his movements were not restricted, and that he was free to travel about and in and out of the country, adding that his travel documents were not seized, and he was never questioned by the police
Olint has been facing a string of legal problems since 2006 when the Financial Services Commission (FSC) served a cease-and-desist order on the entity. On November 3, 2006, the court granted a stay of execution of the commission’s cease-and-desist order until March 26 last year. It was also ordered that there should be no increase in the membership of Olint until the appeal was heard On December 24; the FSC was vindicated when the court held that the operations of Olint were in breach of the provisions of the Securities Act. This through its dealing in securities and engaging in the participation of a profit-sharing agreement, issuing investment contracts, and providing advice to potential investors without the required licenses and registration.

Unno been asking for some New Testament recently. I have been a busy bee but here you are. Mr. Shaw this one is for you and you know who (the hirelings) as well.
John 10: 7-14
Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily verily, I say to you i am the door of the sheep.
All that ever came before me are theives and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
The theif cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
But he that is a hireling and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: an the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.
The hireling fleeth, because he is a hireling, and careth not for the sheep.
I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

The good book can simmer the festering in the afflicted:
The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer fro the tounge, is from the Lord.
All the ways of man are clean in his own eyes; but the lord weigheth the spirits.
Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.
The Lord made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.
Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.
By Mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil.
When aman’s ways please the lord, he maketh even his enimies to be at peace with him.
Better is a little with righteousness, than great revenues without right.
A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.
A divine sentence is in the lips of the King: his mouth transgresseth not in judgement.
A just weight and balance are the Lord’s: all weights of the bag are his work.
It is an abomination to Kings to commit wickedeness: for the throne is established by righteousness.
Righteous lips are the delight of Kings: and they love him that speaketh right.
The wrath of a King is as messengers of death: but a wise man will pacify it.
In the light of the Kings countenance is life; and his favour is the cloud of a latter rain.
How much better is it to get wisom than Gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!
The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.
Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.
Better it is to be of humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.
He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the lord, happy is he.
The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning.
understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that hath it: but the instruction of fools is folly.
The heart of the wise teacheth his mouth, and addeth learning to his lips.
Pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
There is a way that seemeth right to a man: but the end therof are the ways of death.
He that laboreth, laboreth for himself; for his mouth craveth it of him.
An ungodly man diggeth up evil: and in his lips there is a burning fire.
A forward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief freinds.
A violent man enticeth his neighbour, and leadeth him into the way that is not good.
He shutteth his eyes to devise forward things: moving his lips he bringeth evil to pass.
The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness.
He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty: and he that ruleth his spirit, than he who taketh a city.
The lot is cast into the lap, but the whole disposing thereof is of the Lord

“Managed Forex Truth”
After spending some time reading various public forums, it is clear that there is a lot of demand from investors to diversify away from the traditional mutual funds into managed forex. Some people just seek high returns on their money through someone else’s forex trading. Unfortunately, the truth is the vast majority of managed accounts are negative after 12 months, many even receiving margin calls before the 12 months are up.
So Many Managed Forex accounts to choose
There are a very large number of managed accounts out there now. Even a simple google search will provide many traders offering their services. “Over 95% of traders lose money.” This statement is certainly no different when it comes to managed accounts. Many traders offering managed accounts earn commissions for every trade they place on your account, even the bad ones. This enables the trader to get live trading experience with no risk to his own money (because he is risking yours) and also gets paid flat commissions. A win win situation for the trader. A bad deal for your money.
Managed Forex Accounts Fees
Other Managed Accounts take a percentage commission based on the performance. A monthly performance fee is definitely better suited to the trader. Let’s say a trader earns 3% per month for 11 months, he picks up nice commissions every month, but say he then loses 50% in month twelve (may seem unlikely but I have seen many Managed Accounts face a similar fate) your account will be lower than its nominal value but the trader will still have made nice amounts on the commissions. If however the commissions were on an annual basis. You would not have to pay anything.
Conclusion
Most managed accounts really are not worth your time, it is sad, but it is true. Most will fail and lose some or all of your money. However, on a brighter note there are managed accounts out there that have beaten the stock market in the long term, but they take a lot of finding. Do your research, never give control of your money to anyone lightly.

Devastated thanks for sharing your experience with Capital Blu and the level of detail you have provided. Folks take a look especially in light of those useful comments by Mercury Vapor. Mercury glad to see that you are back on board.

I am a pastor of a church in Texas. I recently suffered an 80% drawdown with Capital BLU my first month totlaing 33,000. I haev meticulously documented my entire story for all to read. Please feel free to distribute this link to your entire email portfolio. If any of you are presently with Capital BLU, prepare to lose your money. I would have lost the entire amount if I had not revoked teh LPOA. These guys should be in jail for what they have done.

Mercury Vapor @620,
Dont throw out the baby with the bathwater. There is nothing wrong with the managed account model, just the traders behind it. We already knew that very few traders were profitable over the longterm. What I have also discovered, that many traders are poor equity managers, so the seem profitable with a smaller port folio, and then eventually fail as the portfolio rises.

Sirach @617,
Both DS and his attorneys have acknowledged there is a shortfall in the funds under management due in part to large overpayments to members. Thus the reason for the 9 month period to rebuild the account to the May 31st 2008 balance.

So overall, managed forex accounts are a bad investment. Most are garbage, and the few…the tiny few…that are good, are only good for a short while. Right now Rove Capital is a good one, probably the only good one that has a low minimum investment (currently US $10,000). However, if you invest with them do not expect them to do well in the long term. Their performance might be good for a year or maybe two, but don’t expect any more than that. If…IF…their performance continues to be good, withdraw your principal as soon as possible.

The article at Post 620 was taken from The Shark Investor Blog. I’ll post the link tomorrow because it seems that when I try to post a link tonight, the post won’t go through. Ok, to expand on that article:
GalleonFX had two years of good performance but then made huge losses this year that wiped out their account. Trading ended in July and the lost was 85% not 70%.
FXCM has closed most of their managed forex accounts because of bad performance. They have some new ones up that will probably do just as bad. (The Sentiment and Sentiment Aggressive Accounts are gone!)
DEV has been awful with a -14.92% loss in June and a -21.04% loss in August. That means that this account is down 26% for 2008.
Capital Blu has frozen their CBM FX Fund after huge losses were made…funny, their website doesn’t mention anything about this.

“The Ugly Truth About Forex Managed Accounts”
If you are reading this blog from the beginning you may remember that it had a strong focus on managed trading accounts and especially forex. I invested quite a lot of time and energy to research, review and follow the performance of various managed accounts.
Now, about an year later from the start of this blog and after about 2-3 years of watching the forex managed accounts business I can tell you it’s a lost cause. Many of these services seem very promising in the beginning so you can easily start to believe that they can make you wealthy in 5-10 years. Then after 1-2 years at best each of them crashes and goes nowhere (if it have had a positive performance at all). How is that possible? There is simple explanation – we are able to find a lot of promising ones because only they are advertised. For each managed account that has good performance in the first 1-2 years there are 100 who have failed yet from the beginning but you never hear about them. So you are finding mostly services who have had the luck to start positively. The stats prove that it has been only luck – because all of them crash after a short period of profits.
Here is a quick update on the accounts that have been reviewed here:
GalleonFX lost more than 70% this year and stopped trading. My loss alone is about 60% and those who were unlucky to invest at the last December may have lost 80%.
FXCM didn’t perform better and also removed all their managed account services from their site.
FXFareast have hidden the performance from their site but you can find independent comments showing that they started to stink yet at the end of 2007.
Best Trading Systems disappeared many months ago without a track. I have not heard from anyone what has happened with the trading.
DEV was doing so-so until June this year. I don’t know what’s the status after June.
Capital Blu have also hidden their data, but a quick research shows a mention of 85% drawdown.
Milbay Finance is showing performance only till Aptil this year and then nothing. I don’t see big losses so far, but who knows what has happened in the last 5 months.
If you want to know how much Devrim and BTRFX suck, just read the comments on the review.
FX Master disappeared without track.
FX Street was closed more than 6 months ago due to bad results.
Do you want more? I don’t. I officially declare no longer interested in managed forex accounts. Forex trading does not add value to the world anyway.

In Post 598 I spoke about Finanzas Forex. I think it’s a scam and I wouldn’t put any of my money in it. I know the monthly rate of return is high…and very tempting…but they are most likely a scam and can crash at any time. In fact, someone posted on Forex Peace Army that they have requested their funds from Finanzas Forex and have not heard anything from them (See my Post at 602).
Ok, now what I really wanted to add is this…when investing in the forex market, try to stay away from any company that asks you to send money to them. Instead, it is better to go the managed account route…this is where you open an account at a reputable forex broker and then give a forex trader the RIGHT to trade your account. So the money is in your account…in your name…the forex trader has only the right to trade your money. He or she cannot add money or take money out of your account. You can log into your account at anytime and see your balance, the trades that have been made, the profit or loss, etc.
This is much better than sending your money to some unregulated forex trading business (eg. Finanzas Forex). So if you’re going to invest in the forex market…use the managed forex accounts. Unfortunately, good managed forex accounts are hard to find. Right now the only one that seems to be any good is Rove Capital. Here is the link:

Sirach @607,
The money is not coming from David. I can at least confirm the intent on the part of LewFam and other clubs to repay principal to all members from another financial source. I am not sure about future interest payments.
The effort seems geared to unload the many unhappy members not willing to wait until DS rebuilds the port folio to the May 31st 2008 balance some time early next year.

I called JMMB today and the money is safe. Only 3% was in Lehman brothers. Just call JMMB if you have concerns they will explain everything. Whenever I’m worried I just call JMMB and I get the full breakdown.

k, i went down to JMMB. I spoke to someone high up who i know and they have assured me all is safe. Better to be safe than sorry. Sorry about the scare. I still took out some just in case the rumor i hear is true, as a money will tell you anything to keep you money with them. Until they make a official statement, which she said the company will do about what i heard (she didn’t deny it, she heard it too), i will store some in JNBS.
Janet Reid said
CS what are you talking about re: JMMB? I just went over to their Haughton branch and everything is fine – place regular. Don’t you know these are stressful times? Let’s keep this site real and done with the false updates.

David Smith not paying Lewfam nothing. If he were to then the dolly house going to crumble immediately. them looking like they want to fight back. I been waiting patiently for them to do that. Lovely.

CS, I would really like some more info before I take money out of what I consider to be a reputable investment house. What bank is this that has gone under? I am nervous like everybody else so please let us have some more information if you have it.

Lewfam Update: This comes direct from one of the people that answer the phone there. Lewfam is closing the club soon. They have other alternatives at work where they are going to pay people back their Principal minus Encashments. This should take place within a month. After the ordeal is done with David Smith and they receive their money from him they are going to pay out the Interest that has been earned in your account. For me take this as positive. Over the year i’ve been in the club i’ve pulled out about 2/3’s of my principal so they are going to be wiring me the rest and then the rest will come down the road. He also metioned they are will going to pay some interest for the months we’ve been sitting here with out a return, which lewfam hasn’t posted one in almost 4 months now.
