They may have to re-negotiate their salaries from their boss to run “the propoganda machine” to help their family and friends when they convince those same people to help to keep their money on ice.
Frozen money is as good as no money if it stays frozen forever. I ask again,do they really want their money? or do they want noone to recover their money. Another question comes to mind: Is it the unregulated schemes they are fighting against or is it the investors who happen to be customers of the banks? Wake up people, wake up.

My only explanation for this, is that the Regulators call them (banks) in for a closed door session and read the riot act to them. Tell them straight up that if they continue wid dem tings, den is hell and powder house to pay. Dat way dem fall in line very quickly and try to avoid a recurrence.
Problem though, is that they keep silent about it in the public domain so as to avoid the affected people knowing bout what they said to di banks, and so avoid the many lawsuits. (LOL)
This is the hypocrisy of the big man all round.

Olint for Life, another thing, how come no checks and balances were put in place for those poor rejected business plans that were used by other sinister bank people. This was widely spoke about in the past, yet no “regualator” or “regulation” tried to help these poor people to get justice.

The sad thing is , DS’s failure is Jamaica’s failure, so maybe they need to see our economy slow down until even them the cusy non-investors start losing their jobs. Well maybe not them but maybe their brothers, sisters, mother, father. Why do we have to be so short-sighted.

PEI, and furthermore, the more investigations, the longer things seem to be taking for people to recover their money.
They keep saying, him not paying any money but still lobbying for more and more charges. Haven’t these investigations (which have not found anything incriminating) been slowing down the delivery of investor’s money.
How can money be paid when assets keep getting frozen to facilitate investigations. Then people say “pay us our money”. Do they really want their money or is it something else that they want.?

Olint for life what i find intresting is how so much people who NOT in the club pressing people to call police to lock him up. Them claim if you do that you more likley to get back some money. Now investigations going on and police dont say they have anything to charge him for yet. But them pushing for people to say he commit fraud.

Thanks for the link Olint for Life, I am so busy sometimes, I don’t have time to catch up with the newspaper but usually pop down robot prints anything printed regarding investment schemes.
I wonder how they missed this one. LOL. What a way they are now trying to rally people to get DS on fraud charges, saying that’s the ony way they can get their money. Yes guys, try to bring more charges against him and maybe your great grand children might see your money. LOL.
It is said that he has court on Monday to unfreeze his assets or charge him and on the brink of this happenning our learned friends want to rally people to bring more charges against him. Once again, I say Hmmmmmmmmm. Prayer Bus hold tight.

For those of you who have never curised, it is a must do. I am going to describe that as soon as you get the first payment from Oling or MD…plan to cruise..easteren/wester Caribbean, Mediterranean, European..They are all great!
The last stop was Grand Turk…I started thinking if that was Grand Turk, I wouldn’t want to see Little Turk…NUTTIN! The ship didn’t stay there long or I would have taken a tender of to the T&C to see I could have dialogue with Mr. Smith, Mrs. Smith, Mr. Misick….Tito anybody with information.

Is there a possible explanation of why Olint had not been able to get its funds being tied to Wachovia’s liquidity problem?

I don’t think anybody wants to put their head near DS other head right now. The Feds getting ready to ram something else into a near by orifice.
There is no “trick” when it comes to setting stop losses. Basically it is setting at point at which your trade will be closed should your trade go against you. For example if you by the USD/JPY pair at 110.00 you may set your stop loss at 110.80. Just because you use stop losses does not mean you will not have losing trades or always come out on top.

Wachovia has written down another $6B, nicely tying in with the bank’s $9B loss in the second quarter. Wachovia reported the results the morning after their wholesale mortgage origination imploded.
Consistent with previously announced expectations, Wachovia today reported a net loss in the second quarter of 2008 of $8.9 billion, or a net loss of $4.20 per share, including a $6.1 billion noncash goodwill impairment charge in commercial-related subsegments reflecting declining market valuations and asset values. The goodwill impairment charge has no impact on Wachovia’s tangible capital levels, regulatory capital ratios or on liquidity.

We now sum all the distresses to get the Wachovia’s current Misery Index of $50.0 B
2008-07-17 Busted:
As states with disappearing tax revenues become more desperate for funds and less compliant to CEOs, the legal system may bring all its guns to bare against the big banks. This is something the bankers will have to nip in the bud. Let’s see how they do it.
2008-07-11 Sunk:
Wachovia’s actions scream that the bank is BEYOND RESCUE. By appointing a new CEO whose only qualifications are connections and only talents are subterfuge, the bank has admitted that the damage of the Golden West acquisition is fatal.
2008-07-01 Turnaround:
Wachovia’s interim CEO, Lanty Smith, went cheer leading employees to cut costs while the bank canned its “Pick-A-Pay” loans program. In doing so , Wachovia finally admitted what we all knew: the deal for Golden West was a bad one. What we don’t know is just how bad it will be for how many people it will be bad.
Additionally, we noticed from the table on page 88 of the bank’s May 12, 2008, 10Q filing that Wachovia contends with a hefty $30.4B of level 3 assets.
2008-06-02 Good Riddance:
After Wachovia’s board covering up losses that continue to pile up, shareholders have finally forced the removal of CEO Kennedy Thompson. The action portends more losses coming in the second quarter.
2008-05-22 Write-Downs Count of a Different Sort:
We have been keeping a running tally of write-downs and other credit-related distress taken by the major banks since 2007. But here comes a write-down count of a different sort, how much in write-downs and credit losses firms have written off per wholesale banking employee.
Wachovia – $7B, 3,900 employees, $1,794,872 per employee
2008-05-20 – Falling:
What were the doubled losses reported below due to? Well, it turns out that Wachovia tried to profit by taking out life insurance on their employees. These polices, known as Bank-Owned Life Insurance (BOLI), now face losses because the policies held the same types of investments that have gotten killed in the credit crunch. And guess what? They’re still getting killed.
2008-05-06 – Double The Losses:
Wachovia reported fiscal third quarter (Dec07-Mar08) earnings, stunning investors with a loss nearly double what it had warned last month. They also reported write-downs in the quarter of $2B and said they raised $8B in cash.
For all of fiscal 2007, Wachovia’s write-downs amount to $6.8B while the bank has raised over $10.5B in cash.
2008-04-30 – The Wachovia Matrix:
In a document obtained by the Mortgage Lender Implode-O-Meter dated April 29, 2008, Wachovia produced a matrix increasing minimum credit scores and dropping LTV’s, most down to 65%. An example: Owner Occupied, Rate & Term Refi, Quick Qualify, minimum score 700, Max LTV/CLTV would be 65%. The matrix includes 8 little notes that further detail specific restrictions.
2008-04-14:
As expected, the news is in and blood is on the street as investors punished the stock down 11% to under $25. The write-downs due to subprime-related mortgages were $1.6 billion and
The corporate and investment bank lost $77 million, the second consecutive deficit after a $431 million loss in last year’s fourth quarter. The unit earned $550 million a year earlier. Wachovia cited $1.6 billion in writedowns of securities that included subprime and consumer home loans, commercial mortgages, consumer mortgages and leveraged buyouts. Revenue at the unit declined 54 percent from the year-earlier period.
2008-04-13 – Wounded:
As reported below Wachovia was to report first quarter earnings on Friday, April 18, but an emergency operation has forced that up to tomorrow. This comes after the $8.3 billion infusion just two months ago and reveals that Wachovia, like WaMu, is wounded much worse that anyone had realized. Look for a big change to the $3.2B write-down total.

Wachovia slashes dividend, jobs, to shut mortgage unit after $8.86B loss in second quarter
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Wachovia Corp. reported a surprisingly large second-quarter loss Tuesday, deflating Wall Street’s hopes that the nation’s big banks are weathering the credit crisis well. The bank said it lost $8.86 billion, is slashing its dividend and eliminating 10,750 positions after losses tied to mortgages soared.
Even excluding one-time items, the results substantially missed analysts’ estimates.
But by the afternoon its stock joined a modest Wall Street rally and rose as much as 13 percent — after its shares sank to mid-1991 levels in premarket trading, and after Wachovia’s new CEO said he plans to cut $2 billion of expenses by the end of next year and sell parts of the fourth-biggest U.S. bank.
Its shares rose $1.19, or 9 percent, to $14.37 in afternoon trading.
“Our reported results today are clearly a disappointing performance for which we take responsibility,” said Wachovia’s Chief Executive Bob Steel on a conference call with analysts. “We are serious about getting on top of these issues quickly and we believe we have a good grasp of the challenges facing the economy, the industry and Wachovia.”
Three rating agencies — Moody’s Investors Service, Standard & Poor’s and Fitch Ratings — downgraded their ratings on Wachovia’s debt, citing increased expectations of losses in the bank’s mortgage portfolio and its reduced flexibility to raise new capital.
Wachovia said it lost the equivalent of $4.20 per share in the April-June period. In the same timeframe last year, the bank earned $2.34 billion, or $1.22 per share.
Excluding $6.1 billion in write-downs to the value of its intangible assets and merger-related and restructuring charges of $128 million, Wachovia lost $2.67 billion, or $1.27 per share. Second quarter results include the bank’s October acquisition of A.G. Edwards Inc., which the bank said the merger is proceeding as planned and is 40 percent complete.
Analysts on average expected a loss of 78 cents per share on revenue of almost $8.4 billion.
Earlier this month, the Charlotte-based bank had projected a $2.6 billion to $2.8 billion quarterly loss, equal to $1.23 to $1.33 per share, excluding goodwill items.
“Wachovia’s new management has pulled its head of out the sand and is fully acknowledging the problems not challenges,” said Bart Narter, senior analyst at Celent, a Boston-based financial research and consulting firm. “While the company’s wealth management, corporate and investment banks, and capital management groups all had more encouraging results than the general bank, the general bank is the bulk of Wachovia and it isn’t performing well.”
Wachovia cut its quarterly dividend to 5 cents per share from 37.5 cents, which will conserve approximately $700 million of capital per quarter. In April, Wachovia slashed its dividend 41 percent.
Steel, who replaced ousted Ken Thompson earlier this month, said it was “clearly prudent and necessary” to further cut the dividend.
“While this is a difficult decision, it is the best course for our shareholders over the long term,” he said.
Steel said the company is moving to “sell selected non-core assets” and reduce the number of business customers who only use the bank for loans rather than other services. Wachovia expects to cut expenses during the second half of this year by $490 million and then reduce 2009 spending by $1.5 billion.
As part of that plan, Wachovia said it would lay off 6,350 workers, affecting more than 5 percent to fits roughly 120,000 employees. A majority of those jobs will come from the mortgage area, Steel said.
Wachovia also said it will also eliminate 4,400 open positions and contractors. The bank has already cut 2,000 retail mortgage jobs, it said.
During the quarter, the Wachovia boosted its provision for loan losses to $5.57 billion from $179 million a year ago, and added $4.2 billion to its reserves for bad loans.
Results also included a $975 million charge related to the tax treatment of leveraged leases, $936 million of losses from disrupted capital markets, a $590 million charge for other legal matters, and $391 million of losses on securities sales.
Wachovia’s current problems stem largely from its acquisition of mortgage lender Golden West Financial Corp. in 2006 for roughly $25 billion at the height of the nation’s housing boom. With that purchase, Wachovia inherited a deteriorating $122 billion portfolio of Pick-A-Payment loans, Golden West’s specialty, which let borrowers skip some payments.
Wachovia’s increase in loan loss reserves included $3.3 billion related to the “Pick-a-Payment” mortgage portfolio. In April, the bank tightened underwriting standards, and last month it stopped offering an option on “Pick-A-Payment” loans that let borrowers pay less than the interest owed. On Monday, Wachovia said it will stop offering home loans through brokers.
Wachovia said it is setting aside $10.96 billion for credit losses, up from $6.77 billion in the first quarter and $3.55 billion a year earlier. Net charge-offs, loans it doesn’t think are collectable, increased more than eight-fold from a year earlier to $1.31 billion.
Profits in consumer and business banking, Wachovia’s largest unit, fell 23 percent to $1.12 billion, hurt by rising credit costs, mainly for mortgages.
The corporate and investment banking unit had a $209 million profit, down 73 percent, reflecting write-downs tied to subprime mortgages, commercial mortgages, non-subprime debt and consumer mortgages.
Capital management profit fell 5 percent to $297 million, hurt by the liquidation of an Evergreen Investments fund, while wealth management profit rose 9 percent to $98 million.

The market is fairly “easy” now, so you can get a few pips here and there if you know what you are doing. If you are just starting out make sure you demo trade profitably for at least 3 months before using a live account. Also, the market goes through cycles and it really takes several months to really catch on and understand those cycles and how the technical indicators responds to fundamentals.

I understand your anger, I too was not invested too deeply but I am not so angry as I expected anytning. The DS silence is not helping either and while I seem to be a supporter of DS, I am very puzzled about the silence. I think he owes us an explanation. While I acknowledge his obligation to us I still acknowledge the other forces that play a very important role in the recovery and delivery of our money.

It came back quickly, within minutes. What may have happened is that the system got overloaded. If you did not get back an email then you may have to go through the process again. No email from them you cannot proceed. See the email received yesterday “instructions for online portal”. Try doing it at 9:00 am Jamaica time, remember only 50 per day.

When I signed the CP contract, the general idea of it was that, they owe us nothing. When I received the payment schedule by e-mail, I thought what a generous man, doesn’t he remember the contract stated that he did not owe me anything.

Worldwise was paying their customers until a bank announced that they are not a distribution centre and would not distribute the money into the account of the WW customers who also happen to be the customers of the bank. The same bank that does the same sevice for companies and their payrolls.
Noone is jumping on anyone like a rabid dog but we want to find the missing pieces of the puzzle.

To be honest, I didn’t ask specifically, but I assumed it was a paper statement (I of course could seek clarity). One of my friends, who is a true skeptic, seemed to be convinced of its authenticity. I am not sure if I understand the need for DS to fabricate a statement that does not reflect his true liquidity.
By the way, I confirmed with the DOJ that the accounts are frozen. It is an internal investigation, so no details on specific accounts or balances.

Just thinking aloud, I believe that somewhere behind all this confusion is the IMF, who not so long ago told the Jamaican Government it needed to clean up it’s alternative investment schemes, and it seems that the FSC are the tool with which to do this. Also once they have issued their cease & desist order you hear nothing more from them. Both the Government and the FSC ask for clarity from the investment clubs, but then slip back into the shadows themselves, this being the usual double standards we expect from Jamaica.

Well, I finally had a chance to sit down and listen to the Bovell interview. Very interesting. All these people who were quietly benefitting from DS (Martinez, Bovell), all seem to be kicking him while he is down. Now to the interview:
Bovell had been collecting an interest payment for “facilitating” DS setup in the Turks
No special expertise was involved in the “facilitation”, just “connections”
DS last paid on this arrangement in January 2008
Bovell terminated contractual arrangement with DS because of lack of transparency end of March 2008
-If the last time Bovell received money was in January and the letter was written in March, who really terminated the agreement, DS or Bovell?
Bovell ask DS to show him the $750M in his OANDA trading platform back in February 2008
Around the same time he formed a hedge fund in Cayman to trade FOREX. OFFSHOOT of what he trying to get DS to do
Bovell was trying to “facilitate” a Capital Blue and OLINT partnership
-DS obviously seemed to have lost trust in Bovell’s motives and ambition, hence no birthday invite
-DS later showed a group of people, including two I know personally, what he has in his OANDA account
My own conclusions based on the interview, is that DS had misgivings about Bovell’s motive for wanting to see the balance in the trading account. He showed others, and DS must have realized that showing Bovell would not have accounted for his liquidity or lack thereof. Sometimes it is hard to simply tell a friend, “I am no longer comfortable showing you the funds in the trading account”, so we end up stalling and making excuses to frustrate them into the obvious.
Bovell by his own admission, was involved in at least two other efforts to further benefit from his relationship with DS. It is obvious it did not sit well with Bovell that DS was unwilling to allow him to further “facilitate” him.
So the question is this for Bovell, which is it, the lack of transparency that you have quietly endured to great financial gain over the last couple of years, or the fact that DS was no longer interested in your various “facilitation” schemes to deepen your own pockets?

Yes, the timing again seemed impeccable, I don’t invest for friends but it was such a coincidence that he was taken to jail in the same time frame as his payment schedule.
I don’t think he is a Saint but let him fall on his sword too instead of the constant intervention from the Governing Bodies who are “trying to protect the investors”. Yes, the FSC’s timing could cause a run on WW and lock it down the timing is what I am referring to. Even if the order still allows payment to be made, with the current uncertainty with this whole un regulated investment scheme some people could say “here we go again, another Cease and Desist Order, I want my money.”
I would never call anyone on this blog dark or foolish, as everyone is entitled to their opinion. My opinion is that the FSC is not looking out for investors, they appear to be mischievous and are bent on rubbing our faces in it.

If WW doesn’t have the money to pay then let them fall on their own sword by not meeting payout schedules , the timing of these cease and desist orders , freezes etc quite frankly are only helping managers of the clubs to have an excuse not to pay and feed into the conspiracy theories that abound
On the other hand if WW (and others ) do have the money to make some sort of payment and have clearly stated that they are not taking any new members , additional deposits i.e. doing disbursements only and especially in WW instance starting with small investors first i.e. under 5K ,

Here we go again. WW just re-opened to sort out themselves and their clients and BAM! FSC delivers a Cease and Desist. Anybody here feels that the FSC is on our side.
– When Cash+ was ready to payout?, that very week them lock up the man.
– When Olint was to payout that very week, money laundering charge freezing the account.
– When WW re-open Cease and Desist Order. Even if the order still allows them to make payouts, it is another issue that WW has to deal with.
The last time I saw Mr WW at a meeting, he spoke of requesting his FSC liscence with no response. That was March of this year.
I don’t know guys the “system” seems to be working against investors if you ask me. That’s why I am hesitant to “crucify” the Heads of these investment schemes. Couldn’t they issue their Cease and Desist next week. Couldn’t they lock up Mr Cash+ after paying people. Couldn’t they allow DS to pay the rumoured US$250 mill.
I don’t know boy I feel like there is no protection from the system. It seems to want to send us into poverty if not our graves. Too much coincidence which ends up causing more suffering.

You see, I have heard many things since Dec. last year and some of her info. is the same info I heard. There was a rumour about cutting people under US$10,000.00 out of the club. DS was confronted by someone on a Commercial flight and he responded that he would never do that, he could not “cut out the small man”.
Now everyone can draw their own conclusions. I heard from last Dec. that the money dun, that him gamble it away yet I am hearing now of people who got money. How come the money dun but them get money? All of DS friends were all edgy because they wanted a bigger piece of the pie but he would not give them full control and they were upset.
Many people know that in 2006 when RBTT closed Olint’s account NCB grabbed it and said “we find no fault in DS, he is running a legal Forex Trading club” then by Dec. 2007 they are fighting with all their might to close his account and trading through NCB investments and supposedly making money. I think MLC wanted a piece of the pie too. I say Hmmmmmm……….

A representative from I-trade called me once and spent almost an hour on the phone to get me to act as a consulting broker.Confessed on the phone that he cannot get any business from JAMAICA OR JAMAICANS BECAUSE OF OLINT AND OTHERS.

TCI Police: Investigations could take months

Nothing incriminating yet is the word from the Police in the TCI according to a report published in the TCI Sun. The lead investigator was however quick to warn than that the investigations could months. Here is a quote from the article.
Meanwhile, investigator Mark Knighton of the Financial Crimes Unit, noted that it could take up to three months for his team to complete their probe into Smith’s local operations, quickly pointing out that so far their investigations yielded nothing incriminating.
The police claim they have a lot of documents and it is possible that they will need assistance from other jurisdictions.
“My experience is that, when you’ve got all these documents, and the possibility that other jurisdiction may be involved, this takes time. And the length of time it takes depends on the co-operation of the other jurisdictions. We have a lot of documents to go through, and when we have gone through these documents, then we will make a judgment whether or not we should proceed further,” Knighton said.
We have also heard reports on Nationwide that the police in TCI has sought and gotten additional help to speed up the investigations.

First I am a bit of a skeptic and have a hard time believing anything that is not backed up by facts or documented evidence, something a good reporter should have before writing an article. I have to base a lot of my questions on what Mr. Wignall’s motivation was in writing this article. He quotes himself in the article by saying that “The paper is going to sell off.”
1. David Smith called him three times in fifteen minutes. Did he?
What evidence is there of this? Did David Smith tell anyone on this blog that he was contacting a reporter to spill the full one hundred? Why would he with all the legal actions going on.
2. “A short while later I realized that a face-to-face in Turks and Caicos was not in the making…”. Why did he suddenly know that he could not go to Turks and Caicos for an interview? Was Mr. Wignall uninvited; realized he didn’t have a passport; couldn’t get the newspaper to pay his airfare??? And if it was only a short while later why did he keep secret for so long that the interview scheduled to be printed was not going to happen? Do we refer back to “The paper was going to sell off”?
3. “…so I dispatched to him, through a third party, 16 questions, when what I really wanted to ask was 100 more.” So if Mr. Wignall had so many questions for Mr. Smith why did he not go and ask him? Who was the third party some local reporter, his second cousin, or maybe Big Bird or Barney the dinosour? Maybe they were eaten by the guard dogs Tito talks about. I really wonder what those questions were and why Mr. Smith would bother to answer anyones questions when he is under a reported gag order.
Well if David Smith did in fact call Mr. Wignall and try and get him to come to Turks and Caicos for an interview, and if Mr. Wignall did not show up for the interview but instead sent a third party with a list of questions, then who really failed to show for the full hunded?
Don’t get me wrong, I think David Smith should have a statement explaining what is going on with OLINT. At least an update on the investigation and when more data might be available. But I have a problem with reporters writing articles that have the sole function of selling a lot of newspapers.

Guys, get on the prayer bus for renewal of faith and just to know that God is the master, he is the beginning and the end. This is a big test for all of us, the question is, how will we do. Should we throw up our hands in frustration or bind together with love and support for each other? I am no prophet, I am searching too…..for answers, for many things and each time I keep finding God, maybe he is the one we should be searching for.
On the DS matter, I am praying to keep my cool, but maybe, just maybe he called Wignall 3 times in 15 minutes to really tell his story but was strongly reprimanded or threatened back to silence. What if his lawyers and advisors told him to shut up or find new lawyers, they seem to be at the control especially since the letter from Lord Gifford.
Maybe he wants to but is warned not to. Maybe for the first time he is listening to someone else and this is making him look like the devil. There is a lot more to this story than has been revealed thus far. We would be wise to wait for sufficient knowledge to be revealed before we try and make DS into a villian.

I am not defending DS not calling Mark to cancel, I am just surprised people would seek to make such a big deal about it, considering the circumstances.
I am not sure what it is you dont like about my tone, since my only issue here is to point out that we should not seek to be so judgmental (“less of a man”, “broken promises reveal the content of ones character”), with the little knowledge we have about this situation.

God is in control. What we are going through is a test. Nothing more, nothing less. No matter what the outcome is, if you learn to trust Him, He will ensure that your every need is met. It took me a time to realize this and now I can understand how “Jeremiah” (who posted a couple times about MD) is able to remain positive throughout these trying times. Jeremiah realizes that God is his all in all and that nothing is impossible for Him.
As I have said before, the truth WILL be told, just have patience, trust God and live.
This is not a blind faith or living in denial thing. It is a “seeing” faith thing. Its about coming into a revelation of who God is and how much he loves each and everyone of us and what He is capable of doing in our lives. It is about learning how to surrender.
He cannot work in your life if you dont give Him the room to work. You start giving him the room to work when you start learning how to surrender to Him. When you realize that you are dependant on HIM. Not David Smith, Olint,F1, Lewfam, yourself etc, and you exalt Him to the position of provider, showing your dependency and need and trust, thats when He can work.
He cannot work efficiently in your life if its filled with worry, negativity, doubt, pessimism
etc. You need to do away with the negativity and embrace positivity. Start looking at where you are now and start envisioning where you want to end up. Think positively, doubt not, trust God to bring you there. If He did it for me He will do it for you.
On another note:

2.Mr. Wignall should not have advertised it unless he had already done the full hundred interview in the first place.

3. Can you confirm that a large wire was sent to Jamaica and returned as “suspicious” and subsequently intercepted by U.S. authorities?
Why in the world am I getting no response? The above are quotes from two separate mailings, almost a week apart. Wouldn’t you think these are questions that should be answered? In other words, where is our money and who is working on retrieving our money – anyone?

I started with a small sum I think 2K my game plan was to always ensure at least recovery of principal which I stuck to for a while but like most pple got comfortable , kept adding as I went along , and did the bulk of my additions late last year.
Even though I was withdrawing a little here and there too , an analysis of my account revealed that my total principal deposited still outweighs my all encashments so not only am I short on principal but also I HAVE REALLY NEVER BENEFITED FROM ANY GAINS !
So at this point Basically the Only thing DS has done for me is to help me nam out most of my life savings with a false sense of security of an ammassed fortune that wasnt realy real and Im sure Im not the only one

If DS were to send your letter, it would achieve nothing. Which right thinking person is gonna care less whether or not DS apologized to Wignall? Even if DS confirms he has $735M with Oanda, what does that mean if we know nothing about his actual liabilities. The wire transfer at this point is a non-issue, because it did not arrive, and on the day that DS said the banks promised the wire (in a radio interview on NNN, on the 4th of July, DS said the banks promised next Friday), it was the same day the DOJ froze accounts. The audit is a sore point, because it is what they are claiming could take as much as 9 months to complete, according to the letter from Lord Gifford.

1.You pose the question as if I think DS is acting in his right mind. I cannot imagine the kind of duress and stress DS is under, but I am sure it is affecting his decision making, especially when his efforts to come clean are conflicting with what is in his best legal interest.
2.In my own opinion, I think they are seeing this as an opportunity to displace DS as the face of FOREX in Jamaica, even if it means trampling all over what they hope is his freshly dug grave. 5.Here is my take; I do not think DS is a conman or a thief, and what he has already done for thousands of Jamaicans over the last 5 years is not in question. So I owe it to him to allow him the time to deal with his legal challenges, as I am convinced he is very anxious to come clean. I have a lot of questions for David, I just want them asked when they can be properly addressed, and then I will know what path to take next. Financially, this could not come at a worst time, but I cannot allow my desperate financial position to cloud my better judgment.

The deafening silence is apparently what drove Christopher Walker to file the lawsuit. The article in the Herald indicates that he wrote to DS/O several times outlining the gravity of the situation and the only response he eventually rec’d was the letter sent to all O’members asking for 9 months. This from a member who was a childhood friend of DS’ mother-in-law and whose son was a classmate of DS’ wife.
Is the message from O/DS to those who have been patiently waiting that the only way to get information is to pursue it through the courts?
I am inclined to believe that the freeze of the assets protects us, the investors. DS is proving to be less of a man than I initially thought, and has not lived up to his word. What would he do today if he regained control of the $?
God is in control and works out all to God to those that love Him. Good may or may not include recouping our $. His ways are higher than our ways and He is good and knows best. For those that know Him, lets keep our focus on Him and rejoice in Him.

The U.S. DOJ has seized $X MM USD, which occurred during the Fed-wire of… from… to… Bank. We also can confirm that Olint has $X MM USD that is at… broker and is not frozen, because of the… jurisdiction however we are not currently able to receive those funds. Rest assured we are actively working on your behalf and that $X MM in total exist. I was once like you but in the last days to so find myself slipping as each day ticks by. I certainly will not bash you but I have a few questions for you.
1. If DS was ill-advised to meet with Mr. Wignall, why did he initiate contact in the first place. Would it not have been prudent to first seek the advise of his legal team before that fateful call. In fact, according to Wignall, Smith called him 3 times within 15 times. I would say that Smith is one determine little chap.
2. Yes, many believed that Smith had his team of traders. In fact I think most thought they were personal to him. We found out that MTI is in fact one of these “traders” yet their latest actions and comments hardly appear to be anywhere in support of Smith or Olint for that matter. Their published ad though not calling names was very scathing and to use a popular word floating around “distasteful”. So the question begs to be asked, who do they seem to maintain a distant position when we all know Olint was responsible for their Jamaican momentum. SOmething which even Martinez does not to admit.
3. Your comment “I must say, that this “bus”, is becoming a vehicle for numerous trips to no where” I DISAGREE 100% The bus is for suggesting ideas and gaining reasonable knowledge about DS and/or O for people who may not be in the know. Some suggested contacting Oanda, nothing wrong with that if you can be successful. WHat would you suggest the bus riders do in light of absolutely no communication coming from O.
4. I fail to believe that even with a gag order and 4 pending cases as you outlined that we still cannot be given some update as to what’s going on.
5. Chilly, you are now content with sitting back, taking a deep breath, and waiting for the WHOLE truth to be revealed at the appointed time. Suppose this appointed time never comes, and neither does the TRUTH. At what point will you crossover and begin to question everything?

DS was ill-advised to agree to the meeting in the first place. He is in the middle of a fight for his life on four different legal fronts. The last thing he should be doing is giving interviews. Things he say can be used against him. DS made a promise, whether in good faith or not, that he could not afford to keep – any good journalist would have prepared for the eventuality, and not taken it in such a personal manner. Everyone wants the big story.
As far as the surprise that others were trading OLINT funds, many of us already knew this. It is near impossible for one man to trade over a billion dollars by himself. To mitigate the risk, most have a team of traders trading a portion of the overall port folio.
I must say, that this “bus”, is becoming a vehicle for numerous trips to no where (calling Oanada, Ds interviews, lawsuits, etc). Many are driving up all the wrong roads in a desperate search to bring this journey to an end. We are already on the “bus”, so we might as well sit back, take a deep breath, and wait for the WHOLE truth to be revealed at the appointed time. It is obvious DS did not set out to steal our money, so given his years of contribution to the Jamaican soceity, as much as I have at risk, will patiently wait to hear “the full one hundred” !!!

I agree with K, Jared Martinez is a very shady character. I remember in the interview with David Smith on Nation Wide News, Cliff Hughes asked David what is JIJ Investments…aparently Olint was sending money to MTI to trade on their behalf. David said that everyone in Jamaica knows that MTI trades for Olint. When I heard that I was like “WHAT!!??” Everyone in Jamaica knows that? That’s very strange, because I’ve never heard that before…I’ve never seen the name JIJ Investments on this blog or on any of the other investment blogs. I thought Olint was doing all of their trading in-house. Now it looks like JIJ Investments was also doing trading for May Daisy too.

I have been viewing the blog for some time now and I would like to offer my perspective. I presently have funds in Lew Fam and I too am awaiting information.
I feel to some extent everyone is disappointed, angry and desperate. I have also seen many who are continually praying for Olint – DS, and others want to stone him. I see DS as a gifted man that made many mistakes in his quest to help the common man, and even the poor. We know that he has been a generous man, but we also see his failures, which has affected all of us greatly.
I had to ask myself , what can I do about this ? We really only have several options here:
1 Complain daily on this blog and stay continually angry
2 Get a Lawyer and stand in line
3 Wait
4 Pray
5 All the above
My option is to pray. As the DS lawyers are petitioning the Islands Courts, I wish to petition Almighty God. However, I am not naïve to think that I can just go approach God in anger, self pity and continual complaining and expect God to answer with Divine Justice.
Instead I have chosen to bring a promise from His word that I found today while praying for DS and Lew Fam. Its found is Psalm 41:1-2

1 Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.
2 The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.
One thing is for sure, David has considered the poor in his quest to build Olint. Here we find a promise that God will deliver those with such a heart, and if God will deliver him , it also means your deliverance. It also says that he will not be given into the hands of his enemies.
You might not agree with my approach at all, but if you are going to pray, then pray effectively and be a part of the solution.

K – I did my MTI training and I’m just going to tell you flat out, do not expect FX Chief to put his trading “skills” on the line in any session where his decisions can be scrutinized. There is no way that he would put his “reputation” out for public viewing – a few bad trades and he stands to lose a very profitable business. He makes good money off the masses of unsuspecting hopefuls trying to make the grade as traders. Their package is not half-bad, but knowing what I know now, I would not have gone through the course. There are plenty of cheaper ways to learn about Fibonacci and other common indicators. Incidentally, going to Florida for in-house training is where I made my contacts that got me referred into Olint.

Godd Morning all, I am always praying for Olint investors because I know many of them, I am also a C+ investor but I always felt that DS was the better, more credible investment. C+ came under a similar pressure with Carlos dealing with it defferently ie. more arrogantly.
I pray that C+ investors will recover some of their investment as I still believe that Carlos has some money that he intended to pay his investors. God knows what will happen now that the Receiver/Manager is still at the control earning his very large salary. The large salary was brought to my attention by the investor who bailed Carlos through an investment meeting he hosts once a month.
Mr WW is a clean guy. I had the pleasure of meeting him at that same investment meeting where he spoke of getting liscences internationally and that he would be offering fluctuating rates soon as it was the only realistic thing to do. He has good intentions and he is just feeling the pressur like DS.
I don’t think he is affiliated to Olint as he spoke about some mistakes that he thinks Olint made ie. not seeking regualtion in Jamaica which he was at tha time seeking.
He is a good guy with good intentions but Jamaican investors are not easy and I think he got overwhelmed with the closure of his bank account and the demands from people for their money. If he does not keep his date, I dont think that it’s because he is a crook but because more complications have arisen leaving him with not enough time to rectify them.
I pray for all investment clubs as the fight that they are facing is real and alive. Peace and Love

How you treat your friends or associates when they are down reveals a lot….really disappointed to see the MTI ad.
I think their training package is expensive. I think though that the education package is good. I have not completed all phases of the course but it appears you can ask questions in the mentoring session (I’m at work during the day so have reviewed some from the videos). I also think the 2-day course is intended for someone who has been doing extensive demo trading who now wants to hone the skills on the live market. The support has also been good – it appears that there have been recent changes – not sure what they are offering now but they had market analyses of the 4 major currency pairs several times a day and while the market was open you could go to a chat room to get guidance from one of their moderators.
BTW – they should have responded to the NFA complaint by this, unless they asked for an extension. haven’t seen anything on this yet.

If FX Chief has never ventured to use a live trade in his training (just some hand picked charts showing perfect and smooth market conditions, which are very rare), why should he decide to do what you ask.
Plus, I suspect if he is anything of a trader, he will be unwilling to give away his trading secrets. It is not the same as selling some basic Forex education which is more of a jigsaw puzzle for most, than a methodology.

Guys follow me for a moment with this point.
I have been assimilating all the info we’ve posted over the last few weeks as well as on the spy bus. I’ve stayed away from that bus because it’s clear to me rather than capitalize on their online notoriety in a good way they persist with that continuous negative undertone. That’s indicative of the moderator/owner not being a very quick thinking chap.
So the latest buzz hitting the wire is around MTI and Mr. Martinez. Surely, he has been painted in a very negative light, none thanks to his company for that useless letter which only did more harm than good. I doubt that he consulted a PR team before submitting it for print.
Anyway onto my point.
Since FxChief is the GodFather or the self-titled Chief of forex here is what I propose he does. This at the very least will renew faith and repair his damaged image.
A lot of people especially the other bloggers on the other bus seem to believe consistent monthly gains is not possible
1. FxChief takes his own live cash at least $20,000 not demo money cause demo platforms do not account for live market fluctuations in prices, etc.
2. Preferably FxChief HIMSELF or his qualified team members trade that account with a goal in mind of producing consistently or averaging 5% per month.
3. That account should be made read-only where ANY user can log into the account and view reports of trades he has done.
4. He DOES NOT use his brokerage company.
5. He engages the services of a THIRD party, such as myself, who will act as Public Relations Officer of some sort. That person should NOT be compensated cash for his services.
6. The operation is completely transparent.
Given my depth of IT skill-set I can certainly assist Chief with getting just what he needs to make this a reality.

However, as it now stands, I am sure his ears are pre-occupied, and any attempt to reach him by phone will be futile. When this all blows over (at least this is my intent), I will try and sit down with him again under what I hope will be better circumstances. -In two separate classes I heard FX Chief singing the praises of IL
-Until now, I have never heard of any prior attempt to distant themselves from former students running Clubs
-Their education is to push partially educated students toward their platform, charting, and books
“At Market Traders Institute, we are not in the business of taking people’s money to trade on FOREX”
-Not true. They trade for DS and other clients in the USA
“We are an institution and we are committed to helping the citizens of Jamaica take control of, and improve their personal finances”
-It is foolish to try and sell the idea that every one can become a good enough trader in the FOREX market to improve themselves financially. Less than 1% of the people who take the MTI class without further education will succeed. Those who have proven themselves, such as DS, are still a much better option than everyone trying to trade for themselves.
-DS is down, so MTI sees a great opportunity to jump all over them to further their own agenda. Without the clubs in the mix, MTI sees more students, more traders, more money, and more suckers in their future.
-I hope Jamaicans are smart enough to boycott MTI. As I have shared with David in the past, I would like to see him take a role in educating Jamaicans in FOREX. It will help our people, and provide him with a possible pool of traders to share the trading work load. Much good can come from this disappointment.

I visit the Robot Bus jus to see the new headlines, as I am sometimes too busy to listen to the news. I don’t read their posts much because as someone on this bus said, they seem to only hit the same keys and say the same thing no matter what the issue.
They are bent on breaking people’s spirit. Some PR company is paying them well to spread the propoganda but I think that they forget that this is Jamaica, although we have a low literacy rate our people are intelligent and can’t be fooled so easily.
One example was the case with Cash Plus and Super Plus. I was so shocked when people started chanting this slogan. Jamaicans are not fools, so let pop down Robot bus try, but Jamaicans are smart.

Life has not been hunky dory for me and I have faced many trials and tribulations. God has given me victory in each and everyone. Each one is a trial and test of faith. That is why I can speak positively. Because I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that there is nothing that is impossible for Him to do or overcome.
Yes, sometimes I fall down, I am not perfect. But He gives me the ability to get back up again. Yes sometimes circumstances cloud my vision but somehow He always makes my faith rise up and I speak to that mountain to be thou removed and be ye cast into the sea.
It takes time to build faith and make it strong but if I can do it so can anyone else. we were all born with a measure of faith but just like any muscle, you have to exercise it.

I am just trying to wake ppl up to the FACT that there is a Great big God that loves them and gives them the ability to change their circumstances through HIS power. He can turn this situation around easily but it requires faith on our part, speaking it into existence, without doubting or speaking negativity.
Negativity begets fear, depression, anxiety, worry, nervousness, doubt and all kinda supm that makes it harder for God to work in your life. That is why I urge ppl to stay away from the popdung robot bus, not because I’m against free speech and other ppls opinion but because it is nothing but a hotbed of negativity and I question their motives.
I know that without a doubt that there are righteous ppl in ALL the clubs and God promises not to suffer their foot to be moved and not to be afflicted. He will deliver them from there trials and tribulations. Its His promise.
God is not a promise breaker or a liar or He couldn’t be God could He?? This is why I urge ppl to take their eyes off there circumstance. We need to trust God and learn His precepts, principles and natural laws and get it down into our spirit.
Apostle Paul instructs us to walk by faith and not sight. By this he means to take our eyes off our circumstance and let your faith show you where you want to be. Joel Osteen put it this way, in a nutshell he says to stop looking at your circumstance and lot in life by just giving up and live the status quo. He says to open your spiritual eyes and envision where you want to be, start SPEAKING it into existence, remain steadfast, have Faith and dont doubt.
God spoke everything into existence and has given us all a measure of this creative power. When you start SPEAKING the word of God into your life, standing on His promises, envisioning a victorious, fulfilling life, DOUBTING NOTHING, it is well pleasing to HIM and He honours it because you are showing HIM that you are completely dependant on HIM. That is when you give Him the room to work, and that is when you realize that He is your all in all and begin to get revelation of how much he loves you. Most of all, that is when you start having a relationship with Him which is His hearts desire because ultimately that is why we were created. To have fellowship with God. He is no respecter of persons and His invitation is open to all, even Missah Leaching.

How can someone or a group of people want to fight these people, it a lose, lose situation. We lose and so does the economy and the banks by extension.
If Olint investors recover their money, some businesses will be kept open, people would be able to combat the high cost of living which keeps unemployment down and the crime rate down I know some business owners who used their interest to offset their losses and were able to keep their staff paid.
People would not keep money under their mattress, they would purchase assets etc. and the merchants would then take their profits to the bank then the banks use it for loans or further investment. To fight Olint is to ultimately fight the banks and the economy and I know that they are smarter than that. Help Olint investors is a win, win for everyone.

Bakari is a house boy who every day drinks the wine of his Boss and puts water in the bottle to replace what he drank. But the Boss having suspicions as for the quality of the wine, he decides to buy pastis (a French wine that changes colour if you add water).
Bakari as usual, takes a mouthful and add water to replace what he drank however, soon after he added water the pastis became milky.
When the Boss came back and noticed it, he was sure he had managed to nail Bakari as thief!!! At that same moment Bakari realized he was in trouble and decided to go into the kitchen.
The Boss told his wife that ‘Mary, you will see today, he will be obliged to acknowledge’. So he calls Bakari.
He shouted: ‘Bakari!’
Bakari answered: ‘Yes, Boss’
Boss: ‘Who drank my pastis?’
No answer.
The Boss reiterated his question: ‘Who drank my wine?’

I received the money mid July. I am not sure where the wire was originated but I do know the principal is in touch with the JA office on a daily basis and it was sorted out there. The only thing is this was a request that I had made before they ceased paying out. Initially I was told that they would not be making any payouts until August even though I had made my request the month before. However I explained my situation and sent documentation and I received the funds requested.

I did nt get how BNS involved. The explanation I get involve NCB and whoever is the middle bank for ncb. The bank missing is whoever it go to before NCB. That is the culprit. Which other bank involve in these arrangements that would reject a wire from O?

My serious problem though is that the politicians seemed to have a lot to do with Olint’s demise and are staying pretty quiet. It was Bovell and his cronies that allegedly withdrew their money in December which raised red flags hence the Wachovia investigation. So possibly the politicians were behind this all along. They recvered their moneies and just played mum so the rest of us could be in this predicament. Wow, what a wonderful way to show tha “We love Jamaica”.
Another bit of news that I just heard from a friend is that the money was wired to BNS and not NCB and MLC advised or pressured his friend Bill to send it back. I hear that is a part of why Bill was fired.
Now NCB is battling to close Olint’s account. Why don’t they give it up and help Olint to pay off the investors..What a way these bankers namely MLC and our politicians that we put in power with passion “love Jamaica’>
